Regarding these trading card slot machines. C'mon. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is probably a f'in duck. Call me old fashioned. Gambling is fine when appropriate and legal, but please don't bullshit us.

Must be kidding me. This is an enormous amount of water and power for a residential home. For some context, the house must be 10k sq feet plus with non stop AC and pool / hot tub heating. The water use is even more incredible at about 65,000 gallons/month. Has to be huge pool(s) and acres of irrigation. This NOT how most in LA live.
One of my neighbor's latest bill from LADWP. $8,506. That's more than 4X the average American's mortgage payment. Just for waste, water, and electricity.
What do you get for that money? They drain your reservoirs for 2 straight fire seasons and let your town burn down. Oh, and then their water mains burst every day and flood your streets. Oh, and they forget to shut off the power during a wildfire and cause more spot fires around your neighborhood.
Don't let communists run your city, folks.
Important if true. Note it is true.

That’s part of the Lake Las Vegas area…and no one wants to live out there…
But in terms of Vegas in general, I think a lot of people are realizing that no income tax isn’t worth the lifestyle and environment that it comes with.
I’ve got a number of friends and entrepreneurs that moved out there and Vegas is just a chapter until they all move back to CA. That’s very anecdotal but I think could be the trend we see.

Somewhat staggering. Between 2019-20 and 2024-25, LAUSD non-charter enrollment fell 16%, from 440,365 to 369,830 students, while the district's number of full-time-equivalent positions increased 6.3%, from 60,344 to 64,148.
My guess is LAUSD turbo charged hiring during the pandemic and then never reduced those roles when things sort of went back to normal.

Fair to say this isn’t going to end well. Pretty sure Kalshi and Polymarket target more resembles Robinhood than FanDuel and Draft Kings. And all these worlds colliding also scares the shit out of me. The house always wins. And our neighbors, friends and family are gonna be the losers. Someone’s with regulatory spine need to step-up.

World Cup in stadium 2nd half “hydration” break. Helps the flow of something. The amount of beer seen consumed at this game has been staggering.
A quick note: I have not worked for @StubHub in nearly 20 years. Today, I am simply a small time buyer and seller on the platform. Just like you. It was a different place when I was there.
Many people have reached out to me regarding their @FIFAWorldCup ticket issues. It's clearly a huge issue for the company. While I wish I could help directly, I don't have any special access or influence with the company.
My suggestions:
1) Be proactive (and if necessary, persistent) with @TeamStubHub support. Document every interaction and keep escalating. Don't take no for answer (within reason).
2) Reach out directly (phone, email, messaging, socials) to current decision-makers and stakeholders connected to the business, including senior leadership, management, employees and even board members.
3) Leverage your credit card issuer. Call them directly and file a dispute if appropriate. Companies like Amex, Citi, Chase and others can be powerful allies for their cardholders, especially when they see a pattern of customer complaints.
What else would you recommend for fans trying to resolve these issues?

The LA mayor stuff is the dumbest conspiracy theory I've ever heard & makes no sense. Dem establishment/Bass wanted Pratt, not Raman, to advance.
Bass crushes Pratt in a 1-on-1 by 18 pt, while Raman beat Bass by 4.
Pratt's the rarity in LA less popular than the unpopular Bass!

I don't post on the hellsite but this is important. You don't need a conspiracy theory to explain LA city results.
1) LA County counts the votes, not LA city. Different government and people.
2) Younger, left, progressive voters vote much later than GOP and base Dem voters 1/x – at Princeville, HI
People love to criticize California politics, most of it fair and square. But here is one thing the state has consistently gotten right:
It is very hard to buy the governor's office.
Steyer: $200M+ Whitman: $140M+ Checchi: $40M+ Huffington: $25M+ Poizner: $25M+ Harman, Fiorina and others: $5M each? Almost all their own money. Did I miss anyone?
They all lost. And most very badly.
As important. He’s from Petaluma, CA and went to the same elementary school as me. Congrats Kane!
