Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this. Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts. It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter. Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so. Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa. Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent. JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data: "If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

The only way to defeat communism is to cut young people into capitalism.
Trump Accounts may soon be expanded even more to anyone under 40yrs old. That would be another 100 million people, on top of the 70 million kids and 3.5mil babies born each year. This according to Brad Gerstner who is the main guy spearheading efforts on this. He also said Elon is 'tip of iceberg' Nice scoop and piece on it from @LydiaMoynihan @nypost

Most men raising the issue of “obligation sex” aren’t primarily arguing that a wife must have sex whenever her husband wants it, regardless of her desire. They’re pointing out a double standard in how marital duties are treated. Husbands are routinely expected to fulfill their responsibilities—providing, protecting, emotional support, household labor, and the rest—without the option to opt out simply because they “don’t feel like it” that day. These duties are treated as ongoing obligations within the marriage. Yet when it comes to sexual intimacy, the conversation often shifts: a wife’s lack of desire or consent in the moment is treated as absolute and sufficient grounds to withhold it indefinitely, with little reciprocal expectation. If consent is the governing principle that can suspend one core marital contribution, consistency requires asking why the same principle doesn’t equally allow a husband to suspend the contributions expected of him. The underlying point is about reciprocity. If sex is no longer framed as a mutual marital duty but solely as something requiring ongoing, enthusiastic consent from one party, then the framework should apply symmetrically to the other party’s duties as well. Otherwise, consent functions as a one-way veto rather than a shared standard.
I think the conversation surrounding “obligation sex” is muddying the waters when it comes to intimacy within a marriage. In my mind, it’s almost a position that convinces one spouse, usually the woman, that it’s not an important part of a healthy marriage. What are your thoughts?

Recipients of welfare should never be afforded the same quality of life as middle class people whose labor is taxed to fund them. It should prevent homelessness, including being relocated to a cheaper part of the country. It should never be better than working.
The goal of ebt is to give people the same quality of life as a "middle class" person. It's literally that simple.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The goal of SNAP (benefits via EBT) is to supplement food purchasing power for low-income households to afford a nutritious diet, not to provide middle-class quality of life. fns.usda.gov/snap law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/7/271… usda.gov/sites/default/…

for anyone in tech with money: the annual percentage they want to take from you each year via asset seizure is what you should be plowing into super pacs, NGOs, and media influencers right now to beat back marxism. the hour's late, and nobody else is coming to save you.

The Trump Account is the ultimate "out" for a wealth tax. The All In guys could challenge Ro Khanna to put up $250 million for the Accounts + they would agree match it. Stuff like this doesn't even occur to them. They'll end up paying a much larger cost, probably soon.

Today, on America’s 250th birthday, Susan and I are celebrating by giving $250 each to the first 25 million qualifying American children who sign up for their @InvestAmerica24 @TrumpAccounts. This makes every child a shareholder in the greatest prosperity-creating engine the world has ever known — American capitalism. Through this public-private partnership, we’re giving the next generation a real stake in our economy and a path to the American Dream: education, a first home, starting a business, and building lasting wealth. It unites us all in hope and optimism for every child’s future. Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸 trumpaccounts.gov/

Yes yes we all can plainly see there's historic levels of government fraud and abuse, but just think of how much more fraud we could fund by raising taxes.

The incredible thing is that we are sacrificing wealth *to get this to happen*. African / Muslim immigration to Europe is a large economic cost, in addition to the savage murders and rapes.

I think not supporting voter ID at this point is a pretty clear indication you don’t want fair elections, and we need to stop treating people who don’t want fair elections like they have a simple difference of opinion. freedom has been a relatively brief experiment. it’s at risk.
