Proud to announce that I have been accepted as a @AvaxTeam1 collaborator. Looking forward to continue building and educating in the ecosystem.
I've been building on Avalanche; SlicePay accepts AVAX and C-Chain tokens for merchant payments, and Ginger ships collections on Avalanche. Now I get to do that with the community behind me!
Very excited to walk this road with Team1!
Next up: developer education and merchant adoption in Africa. Let's build! ๐บ๏ธ๐

PHP, Node.js and Java security: a plain guide for non technical people and the best steps to take immediately.
You may have seen scary headlines about critical flaws in PHP, Node.js and Java. The most important point is simple: these flaws live on website and app servers, not on your personal phone or laptop. You do not need to install a special patch on your own devices to fix them. Website owners and hosting providers must patch their systems. Your job is to reduce your personal risk while the news cycle is loud. Here is a practical guide.
1. Do not panic, but do stay alert
Attackers often use big security news to push phishing emails, fake update screens and scam links. The flaw is not something you can fix on your phone. The real risk to you is being tricked into giving away passwords, payment details or installing malware.
2. Ignore urgent security emails and fake update prompts
Delete any email that claims you need an emergency security update or a critical password reset because of these vulnerabilities. Do not click the link. If you think a service really needs your attention, open a new browser tab, type the official website address yourself, or use the official app. If a website suddenly asks you to download a browser update or paste a command to prove you are human, close the tab.
3. Use a password manager and turn on two factor authentication
This is the single most effective personal defence. Let a password manager create a long, random and unique password for every account. Never reuse passwords. Turn on two factor authentication for your email, banking, social media and any other important account that offers it. If a website you use is compromised, stolen passwords become much less useful to attackers.
4. Shop and bank with extra care
During a period like this, pay more attention to unfamiliar websites and deals that look too good to be true. If a site looks slightly off, leave. On less familiar shops, pay by credit card or a service like PayPal that offers buyer protection and transaction notifications. If a familiar website is suddenly offline, wait for official news. Do not search for alternative URLs, because you may land on a phishing site. Better yet, refrain from browsing the internet for at least a week.
5. Keep your own devices and router updated
Even though these specific flaws are not on your PC, keeping your own software current closes other doors. Update your phone, computer and browser automatically. Do not forget your home Wi-Fi router, because router updates are easy to miss. Check the manufacturerโs website periodically for firmware updates.
6. Watch for strange account activity
Check your bank and credit card statements more often than usual. Review login alerts and enable notifications where possible. If you see something you do not recognise, change the password from the official app or website and contact the provider directly.
7. Do not paste commands or install remote access tools
No legitimate bank, shop or social media site will ask you to paste a command into your computer or install a remote access tool to verify you are human. Treat any such request as a scam.
Be safe out there!

This.
Self-aware autistic people will spend their whole lives assuming everyone can immediately explain the reasoning behind everything they say or do, then get genuinely confused when someone finds that annoying.
Youโll explain exactly why you made a particular decision, and suddenly youโre hearing, โOh, so you always have an answer for everything?โ
Wait, isnโt explaining my thought process a good thing? ๐ญ
Gustav ๐บ๏ธ๐ retweeted
When the BMA team sent us a heartfelt thank-you after Saturday's #DDOKO event in Oko, Anambra State, my immediate thought was that the gratitude should go both ways.
Thank you for giving SlicePay and SliceChain the opportunity to be part of something that represents a much bigger vision for Africa. ๐๐พ
I have always believed that the true value of technology is not measured by how much attention it attracts, but by how much opportunity it creates for ordinary people.
And that is why this initiative matters to me.
What @Barkmediafrica, @JJXMeta, @Pizza_on__Sol and the incredible @doginaldogs community are building in Africa goes beyond bringing people together around Web3. It is about building confidence, opening doors, creating relationships, and giving young Africans a reason to believe they can participate in shaping the next digital economy.
There is a profound difference between introducing people to blockchain and empowering them to build an economy with it.
The first creates awareness. The second creates opportunity, independence, and lasting economic value.
At SliceChain, through @slice__pay, that distinction sits at the heart of our mission.
We believe blockchain must eventually prove its value outside the timelines, trading screens, and speculative conversations.
It must become useful in everyday life.
For the student learning how digital payments work. For the developer building their first real application. For the small business owner trying to grow without losing precious margins. For the entrepreneur who wants to serve customers beyond national borders.
These are the people for whom infrastructure should be built.
And this is why education must come first.
Not education that simply teaches someone how to buy a token, but practical knowledge that helps them understand technology, evaluate risks, solve problems, create products, and build sustainable businesses.
Culture brings people together. Education gives them capability. Infrastructure allows that capability to become economic participation.
That is the connection I see between the Doginal Dogs community, Bark Media Africa, and what we are working toward at SliceChain.
The Doginal Dogs family demonstrates something powerful: a community born in the digital world can develop genuine human relationships that transcend geography. When that energy reaches students and local communities through initiatives like #DDOKO, it becomes an opportunity to create something lasting.
But the work cannot end when the event ends.
Our collective ambition should be to see students become builders, builders become entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs create opportunities for the communities around them.
We should be measuring success not simply by attendance or social media impressions, but eventually by skills developed, businesses supported, useful products launched, and lives positively affected.
That is how an ecosystem becomes an economy.
And Africa deserves to be more than a destination for technologies designed elsewhere.
Africa must be a place where the next generation of global digital infrastructure is imagined, built, owned, and improved by Africans themselves.
From Oko to Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Johannesburg, and across the continent, I believe the opportunity is enormous when local communities, practical education, and real-world technology come together.
To the entire BMA team, @JJXMeta, the Doginal Dogs family, and everyone who contributed to making October 17 special: thank you for your passion, commitment, and belief in what is possible.
Your work deserves recognition, but more importantly, it deserves continued support.
For us at SlicePay, supporting this event was never just about placing a name alongside an initiative. It was about standing behind people who are doing the difficult, necessary work of building a stronger foundation for Africa's digital futu
With gratitude and respect. ๐ค๐๐พ

Todayโs Avalanche Academy Onboarding at @go2uj such a good one!
We had students and builders in the room, some completely new to Web3 and others already building their own projects. One of the best parts was hearing students share what they are already working on.
More than anything, the biggest win was making sure students left knowing they do not have to figure this space out alone.
They have a community to learn with, build with, and ask for help when they need it.
That is what @AvaxTeam1 is about. โค๏ธ๐บ
Had an amazing day with @Team1Africa_ onboarding students at the University of Johannesburg. Looking forward to see the cool products that were discussed integrated into blockchain through Avax! Props to Precious and Maite for hosting a great workshop๐ช๐ฅ
