Benin Kingdom was one of the first principalities to illegitimize slave trade in the world. It was difficult then to sell a slave out of Benin country, talkless of an ΓdΓ³ freeborn.

Benin Kingdom at the time of Van Nyendael records was still in it peak and could easily indulge in slave trade, but it would cost them the expansion of the empire. Also there is an age long adage that presented those who sell slaves as HUNGRY & Uncivilized people.
The perfect decision my ancestors took about 500yrs ago made sure little to No ΓdΓ³ man suffer the burnt of the Trans-Atlantic trade and someone in modern day Nigeria thinks its a flex when the charts shows her people were sold as slaves and thinks those people ethnic group that didn't appear on the chart are at loss...
