“Writing is a displacement, a displacement from the normal social contract. A displacement from the habitual, the pattern, and the ready form. The poet strives to escape from the dominant, used language, to a language that speaks itself for the first time." 🖤Mourid Barghouti🖤
At a later meeting, talking thru cigarette smoke in a noisy hotel bar, he knockd on the table between us:“This is poetry. Language is here –in the street, in the mud, in the shop, in the kitchen, in the mkt, the discussions, in everyday life. And you can make poetry out of this.”

JUST IN: IRAN FM SPOX BAGHAEI ON ANTISEMITISM: “Antisemitism is a European phenomenon and has nothing to do with Iranian religion or civilization. Across Iran, there are around 100 synagogues. Look at the tombs of Jewish prophets and prominent figures across the country. Despite our all-out war with a regime that falsely claims to represent Jews, how many attacks on Jewish holy sites have we witnessed? Even if there has rarely been an incident, it was dealt with immediately. We should ask Europe what culture they have created, where Jewish cemeteries are attacked and synagogues must be surrounded by barbed wire or have their signs removed.”

On this day, November 2, 1917, the Balfour Declaration was issued—a promise by a power that did not own the land, offering it to those who had no right to claim it, at the expense of a people who lived on that land, cultivated it, and built their dreams and future upon it. 109 years have passed, and Palestinians are still paying the price of that promise—with their land, their homes, their memories, and their children. Palestine continues to bear the wounds of history, from the Nakba to wars and forced displacement, all the way to the displacement tents of Gaza. The Balfour Declaration was not merely a political letter. It was a pivotal moment in the tragedy of a people denied their right to self-determination. We tell this history not to imprison the present in the past, but to understand how we got here, and why the Palestinian right to justice is still awaiting recognition. Palestine is not a promise written in a letter. Palestine is a people, a land, an identity, and a right that does not expire with time. #BalfourDeclaration #Palestine #Nakba #PalestinianRights

At last the British government/people is/are acting on its/their legal obligations to PREVENT genocide #CircuitBreaking
BREAKING: People Against Genocide smash military satellites bound for Israel, inside Ultra I&C's Hertfordshire arms facility. This action today coincides with the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, when the British signed away the land of Palestine to Zionist militias

🚨 NEW: Green MP Adrian Ramsay will go public on Sunday to criticise Zack Polanski's leadership and claim the party been taken over by pro-Palestinian activists who have replaced its environmental values

The expendability of people, others, in genocide or climatic devastation is an obsession I will own, proudly. If Gaza were only larger! They've devastate/d the rest of Palestine daily/for decades. It's the condensation of everything, clarifies all human responses, incl Ukraine!

“We are rarely given a voice” — exactly, and the whole point of my book: there are lots of Jews against Zionism and always have been.
Replying to @BenMoser123
I read your book when it was released. I’m a British Jew who opposes Zionism. We are rarely given a voice. Your exploration of Jewish thinkers who opposed the political ideology is a welcome antidote to the notion that Zionism is the only game in town.

The Israeli military isn't just running patrols in south Lebanon—it's actively paving new roads and connecting hilltop outposts from Naqoura through Maroun al-Ras and Bint Jbeil all the way to the Shebaa Valley. You don't pave lateral supply corridors across rugged terrain if you plan to leave before winter. Paved tracks solve the mud logistics for heavy armor, turning what was framed as a temporary border sweep into a fortified, semi-permanent buffer zone.

'This is a danger to Israel. It must end.' And all of THIS is a danger to the world: look at the consequences of Isreal's violent/genocidal whims. It must end.

'If your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament' - a very big 'if' evidently - then get behind your popular, strategically adept leader/party & stop grand-standing for MSM?
Ahead of what will clearly be a coordinated assault on Zack Polanski - some basic facts. 1 - Yes, Polanski's own net approval ratings have dipped sharply in recent months. This is primarily the result of more people becoming aware of him and forming an opinion. His actual approval ratings have been remarkably steady and, at 19%, he remains considerably more popular than his party. 2 - By comparison Adrian Ramsay's approval rating when he was co-leader in June 2025 was 5%. 81% had either never heard of them or had never bothered to form an opinion. His fellow co-leader Carla Denyer was only marginally better on 9%. 3 - Reportedly 18,000 members have left in recent months. But this is in the context of an unprecedented surge in membership which took the party from 70k to close to quarter of a million members after Polanski became leader. 4 - The party now has more than 1300 local councillors, compared to less than 900 when Polanski became leader. 5 - Yes, the Greens have dipped in the polls recently. But even now they are at the same level they were when he became leader. And they are primarily victims of their own success having obliged the Labour Party to ditch Starmer - a level of influence the Greens could previously only dream of. 6 - The Zionism is racism motion is held up as having done huge damage to the party. An Opinium poll showed 56% of Green Party members supported it - and just 13% opposed it. A clear majority among all voters under 34 who expressed an opinion supported it. By any logical criteria, if your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament, it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of Polanski. It makes sense only if that is precisely what you don't want to happen. thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…

I am Jewish Listen to this man BELOW. He leads a very powerful Israel Lobby group in the US The idea that "God promised us Jews the land of Israel thousands of years ago", including the right to drive out those already living there and persecute them and kill them, is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE

Much of the media hate that the Green Party want to tax the super rich & stand up for peace around the world. They hate that we call out vast majority of media owned by a few billionaires who constantly distract. One of the best things you can do? Join.greenparty.org.uk

'On the other hand, Eisenkot would never demand that the ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties declare themselves "Zionists," something most of them are not, in order to form a coalition'
Preferencias
