Two of the game's best pitchers go head-head tonight. Jacob Misiorowski vs. Drew Rasmussen. Both have elite home run rates. It's hard to hit one out against them. Unless, of course, you're Wade Meckler. He has 3 career homers, and took both deep this season.

The @Angels completed one of the most extraordinary #WorldSeries comebacks OTD in 2002 … Trailing 3-2 in the series and down 5-0 in Game 6, the Halos would rally for 6 runs across 2 innings, going on to win the game 6-5! 😮 They also went on to win Game 7 to win their first World Series in franchise history.

The Angels announced that the Club has declined the option in Kurt Suzuki’s contract and, in coordination with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, will search for a new manager and coaching staff for the 2027 season.

“As we look toward 2027 and beyond, I have had thoughtful conversations internally and with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s leadership about the future of Angels Baseball and the direction of our organization. Those conversations have shaped the decision to seek a new manager and coaching staff for the 2027 season. Kurt has earned tremendous respect in our clubhouse, and I’ve seen firsthand how much he cares about our players. I do not believe our record this year was a true reflection of his abilities as a manager. I’m pleased we were able to offer Kurt a role to stay on as a special assistant, where his knowledge of our players and his perspective would continue to be valuable to the organization. I would also like to thank the entire coaching staff for their professionalism and hard work throughout a very difficult season. We value their expertise and have offered some members of the staff positions within the organization.” John Mozeliak (Baseball Operations Consultant)

The Angels mourn the passing of former scouting director Bob Fontaine Jr. A gifted talent evaluator and mentor, Bob helped shape generations of Angels by overseeing the signing and development of numerous Halos, including Jim Abbott, Jim Edmonds, Garret Anderson, Tim Salmon and Darin Erstad. Bob left a lasting mark on baseball by devoting over five decades to the game. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Mozeliak said he had a conversation with Mike Trout and Trout brought up moving to left field from center and possibly more time at DH. The Angels want to upgrade their defense in center.
