Rescued a ruby-tailed wasp in the kitchen today, very much regret not getting a photo! buglife.org.uk/bugs-and-habi… @Buzz_dont_tweet

Thanks @organiclea for my beautiful fruit this week! It looks too wonderful to eat and not a crappy plastic wrapper in sight

Wondering when the last time this #greatnorthern carriage had a good wash with something other than wee. Smells much worse than it looks 🤮

Does anybody know what species of caterpillar this is enjoying my Verbascum, and another suitable host plant I could transfer them to? @Buzz_dont_tweet @NHM_London @WildLondon @IngridYChen #lepidoptera #uk

@IngridYChen @PhytologyLondon It’s a Mullein Moth. Apparently also enjoys Buddleia - a new addition to the BGNR family? ukmoths.org.uk/species/cucul…

Euphorbia lathyris - Mole spurge. ‘Used by beggars to induce skin boils’. Or just a fantastic weed in my garden

Today has been a particularly manic day for our swarm collectors. We’ve fielded allot of calls and collected about a dozen swarms. Many volunteers are now running out of empty hives and space to place captured swarms. Please inspect your bees!

Several tonnes of used AstroTurf on its way to ‘recycling’ plant. Always worth considering what the end-of-life options are for landscaping materials. I’ve witnessed a shocking amount of waste in ‘green’ industries, easily avoided by forward planning

The Swift population in the UK is rapidly declining. I've just signed a petition calling on @kitmalthouse to get Swift bricks in all new homes. Please sign & RT. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio… via @38_degrees
Disappointing to see a post I walked away from 4yrs ago still struggling to pay anything approaching acceptable salary. No £8.15/hr is not an acceptable wage for a skilled position in central London. If you can't afford a gardener, don't have a garden.
