OpenSource and Free Software are only as good as people contributing and using it.
If software stops serving the purpose it is supposed to, it's bound to be thrown in trash.
Proprietary code is not as bad as the FOSS evangelists want you to believe.

Multiple Debian developers have announced that they will be leaving Debian, or no longer maintaining Debian packages, following Debian’s use of LLM’s in scanning and evaluate new package uploads.
“how is this not "Debian endorses the use of generative AI"?”
“For now, I will no longer be uploading to the #Debian NEW queue.”
“likewise. I'm about to orphan everything I still maintain in Debian that I don't *have* to maintain”

The C++26 ballot has failed. I am disappointed but not surprised.
The C++ standardization process has been broken for a long time, and it's only getting worse.
Over the last two years, a pattern has emerged in which arcane process has been used to avoid or silence the will of the majority.
It is time for a change. C++ leadership must exit ISO and establish an open and fair standardization process of their own.
Getting GPUs is hardest on AWS out of all the big three clouds....
You're stuck with either shit old-gen GPUs or extremely expensive tiers because the actual usable ones are unavailable...

Also, post your thoughts below!
I no longer remember how to implement a binary heap from scratch. But still it took me 2 hours to solve this.
I do remember the time complexities of various operations.
Stay tuned....
Hardest part about DSA prep is when you think in terms of Sets, Relations, Entites, Functions and State etc. the problem is, most of these problems are very hard to optimise without mutating a global shared state, which makes reasoning very hard to grasp sometimes.
Started solving Blind75 after 2 years just for fun. I started with Trees, and I am surprised I still remember a lot of stuff. Ofcourse it is taking me sometime to re-collect my understanding and coming up with suboptimal or optimal solutions. But damn this shit it doable.

Do we want to live in a great nation or do we want to make the nation we live in great?
There is no correct answer and the answer determines what you do with life.

If this doesn’t boil your blood, what will?
Their daughter was murdered.
They’re still fighting for answers.
And now her grieving parents have been detained during their protest.
Haven’t they suffered enough? 💔
Today, it’s Ankita. Tomorrow, it could be our sister or daughter.

We, software people, have a weird sense of entitlement!
For years, we built software that automated others' work. Imagine what a New York driver might think about their life when they first see a Cybercab or an FSD-enabled Model Y. Similarly, imagine what a line worker at a German-car factory might think about their life when they first sees an industrial robot.
We always expected people to deal with it and asked them to upskill.
But we are convinced that our work is special. Writing software needs judgment and creativity that we uniquely possess.
Now that most of what we do can be automated, the reality is starting to sink in.
The answer, again, for us is: adapt!
