Ruben was born in a private zoo in the mountains of Armenia. When the zoo’s owner died, the facility closed. The other animals found new homes, but nobody came for Ruben, a 10-year-old lion. For the next six years, he lived alone in a concrete cell. His roaring gradually stopped. Those who checked on him heard only an occasional cry. Eventually, Animal Defenders International (ADI) stepped in and arranged to rescue him. Ruben was moved to a bear sanctuary in Armenia for treatment. Years of poor nutrition and almost no exercise had left him weak. His legs trembled when he walked, and veterinarians suspected spinal problems. Because his transport crate was too large for a regular flight, a cargo airline generously flew him to freedom at no cost. On August 23, 2023, after approximately 15 hours in the air, Ruben arrived at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa. For the first time in nearly six years, he could hear and see other lions. And then something beautiful happened. Ruben began roaring again. The sanctuary staff say his roars have been growing louder ever since. His new enclosure includes grassy slopes and a shelter with heated floors. Staff even gave him a bag of catnip, which he happily played with for a long time. Ruben still faces serious challenges. Cataracts cloud his eyes, and sometimes his legs give way beneath him. He will need specialized care for the rest of his life. But now, he is no longer alone. He lives among other lions, enjoys the sunshine, and has finally found a place where he can feel safe. After six years of silence and isolation, Ruben’s roar has returned. And this time, the world is listening.

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated him out of $10 million. The bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the first place. It was assumed that Guido wouldn’t hear anything, so he wouldn’t be able to testify in court. When the Godfather goes to confront Guido about his missing $10 million, he takes along his lawyer, who knows sign language. The Godfather tells the lawyer, “Ask him where the money is.” The lawyer uses sign language to ask Guido, “Where’s the money?” Guido signs back, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” The lawyer tells the Godfather, “He says he doesn’t know what you’re talking about.” The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Guido’s temple, and says, “Ask him again!” The lawyer signs to Guido, “He’ll kill you if you don’t tell him.” Guido signs back, “Okay! You win! The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed at my cousin Bruno’s house.” The Godfather asks the lawyer, “What did he say?” The lawyer replies, “He says you don’t have the balls to pull the trigger.”

This young man speaks and sounds like 70% of Americans. The fact congress can't even agree on daylight savings time means we are cooked. They don't work for us, they work on behalf of themselves and lining their own pockets. America has been sold out from within. Enjoy the ride, its gonna get worse

Lots of hard truths for all. He doesn't speak for the extremes in both parties but does a fine job of speaking for the avg US citizen.

🇺🇸 A former military pilot is shutting down the conspiracy theories about the Learjet crash in Florida that killed all 9 on board "Enough with the conspiracy theories. It wasn't shot down. It wasn't a drone." He says the jet likely iced up flying over bad storms and lost control, and after a dive that fast, "there ain't going to be nothing left." Rest in peace to all 9, and strength to the families left behind. 🙏 Writer: Daniyal

Very cool piece of the past
Arizona Territory, 1883. Seventeen-year-old Catherine “Cat” Dawson watched six rustlers murder her 22-year-old brother, James, and steal 200 head of cattle from their ranch. With the law days away and no one coming to help, she saddled her Appaloosa, took her father’s Winchester, and rode alone into the desert. Her father gave her four days to return. She disappeared into the wilderness, following broken branches, hoofprints and shifting sand, carrying grief that was slowly turning into determination. On the fourth morning, she found the six men hiding in a box canyon. What followed was a gunfight that would become a forgotten legend of the Arizona frontier. Using the sun, the rocky terrain and her knowledge of the desert, Cat outmanoeuvred the gang, killed several men and wounded their leader. When he begged for mercy, she chose not to kill him. Instead, she took his weapons and water and left him to face the consequences. Three days later, she returned home with all 200 cattle. She was covered in dust, exhausted and no longer quite the girl who had ridden away. Cat never spoke publicly about those four days. She married, raised daughters, worked the ranch and taught her children to ride, shoot and survive. When asked why, she simply said, “Because the world doesn’t always protect you.” Her obituary in 1932 celebrated her horsemanship and community service, but never mentioned that summer of 1883. Yet the old-timers remembered. History often celebrates lawmen and outlaws, but forgets the ordinary people forced into extraordinary circumstances. What would you have done at seventeen, if justice was four days away and the only person who could fight for your family was you?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is a fictional story, not history. No records exist of a Catherine "Cat" Dawson or this 1883 gunfight. Near-identical unsourced versions have circulated online since at least December 2025, and the poster's bio says it shares fictional stories. x.com/protbestfrgctx… youtube.com/watch?v=T_P2-w…

The GOP has a 14% approval rating. I've been covering politics professionally since 2008 and I have never seen anything like it.

If the GOP is now warning us that the Democrats are so terrible we can't let them win, then why hasn't the GOP spent the last 18+ months kicking ass on THE THINGS THE VOTERS ELECTED THEM TO DO so that they could defeat the Democrats next Tuesday? Instead, they spent most of the time serving a foreign nation and starting wars, and now they want to blame THE VOTERS for the election outcome? Unreal.
