cannot stress enough how hard it is to create a game with genuinely good fixed/dynamic camera angles. There is so much more work involved than simply placing them with a nice shot, it's like 30% composition 70% level design/layout/adjusting

suddenly placing cameras, triggers, blocking levels, planning layouts, coverage etc becomes your biggest time sink out of everything I have almost given up more times than I can count

spent the last two years leaning Unreal (amongst other things), made a full survival horror framework. Think I'll download godot tomorrow see you in another two years I guess

so far I've shipped a game in AGS, 2 games in Unity and made a bunch of code stuff in Unreal. I also still don't rly consider myself a programmer, I'm 100% art first. AGS had its own language, and for Unity + Unreal I used visual scripting. Wud be fun to learn Godot tho ithink :)
