Kelvin Sampson doesn’t mention the word talent once here.
He talks about attitude, effort, body language, and consistency.
Because those are the habits that win.
This clip is a masterclass in what really matters:👇

University of Houston freshman center Jacob McFarland is already back dunking while recovering from his broken right leg. Remarkable recovery. McFarland says he's just dunking on his left leg. He's been told to take his time and does not expect to come back this season.
Just wait on his return!!! ❤️
@jacobmcfar1and, you still have an incredible bright future. We are looking forward to your recovery & your return. The road got a little longer but you are in great hands with @CoachSampsonUH, John Houston & your Cougar family. 👍🏻🙏🏻🏀

To all my Athletes and Students please be careful behind the wheel. 3 high school athletes in a 24 hour period gone too soon. Prayers to the families and our CJUHSD community.
The RCHS Athletics Dept is stunned and saddened by the passing of sophomore Feiloaki Mateni Jr. Please keep his family in your thoughts, as well as his teammates and coaching staff during this very difficult time.

Kelvin Sampson rocked a “Eracism” shirt tonight.
When he was asked about it, he gave a thoughtful response:
“I want more people of color in power, so we can have more opportunities for the people that deserve it.”
