Gatsby throwing parties in hopes to see Daisy is just me visiting every new social media platform hoping to find @Marten_Nelson alive and well
The best part about being an adult is that you can make a plate of nachos at any time of the day/night and there’s no one to stop you.

Mission: Impossible is one of the only movie series with no bad discourse. All rankings/opinions are cool except for two
1. Disrespect to the first movie (a masterpiece)
2. Saying 3 is the best
I’ve done and said many cringy things in my lifetime. The one I’d like to apologize for most is my Coldplay phase in high school
Checking Twitter today to see if it’s still there is like when all of us evangelical kids kept checking to make sure our families didn’t get raptured without us
You’re all laughing to mask the discomfort, but if we lose Twitter we lose @Marten_Nelson
5yo: sometimes Sunday School is scary
7yo: oh yeah remember that one weird hairy guy?
5yo: ☹️
7yo: John the bath-tist. Weird guy right??
Spent the summer watching LOTR with the youth group kids who haven’t seen it before. In one hour we will start Return of the King and I don’t know if they’re ready for me to cry in front of them.
Hey @johnaugust my (almost) 5yo has decided she wants to shoot a movie. I offered to type up the script in Highland for her but she insists on writing it all by hand. Can you make an exception for unprofessional formatting for the next 3 page challenge??
Not really enjoying living in a world where “racism is bad” is a hot take within the church. But my hope is in Jesus making all things new, not my own anger and self-righteousness.
Tonight at youth group:
Kid 1: did you know sugar is more addictive than cocaine? They tried it with rats so it’s true
Kid 2: I mean, if I was a rat, I’d be addicted to anything
A lot of @kkdumez’s critics aren’t pleased with her “lack of solutions” offered in J&JW but are failing to recognize she’s a(n) historian and that’s not the point of the book.
Also, could the solution be as simple as…don’t be a misogynist, or racist, etc.?
