Introducing our Hermes bridge API docs: get-hermes.ai/api-docs/
Hermex is a beautiful native iOS app built by @uzairansar leveraging this Hermes bridge API. I’ve had a few people ask for how they could build their own native app from scratch like Uzi did. Now you know!

Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values.
Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line.
After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs.
The values in an open model are one fine-tune away.
Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete
🙌
I can't believe this is real.
HERMES ON YOUR PHONE. HERMES ON YOUR IPAD. HERMES IN ANY BROWSER.
Not a clone. Not a lite web chat. Your actual Hermes setup, with the same chats on every screen.
What it does:
▸ Your whole workspace in a tab: sessions, profiles, plugins, scheduled jobs, files, previews and a real terminal
▸ One Hermes behind every screen. Send from your phone and the reply shows up on your computer too, live
▸ Open it from your phone, iPad or another computer, signed in with your Nous account
What you can do with it:
▸ Kick off a long job at your desk, check on it from your phone on the couch
▸ Start a plan in the morning, finish it from your iPad or work laptop
▸ Leave Hermes running on your home PC and use it from anywhere you have a browser
Start anywhere. Finish anywhere.

built hermesmade.lol
A catalog of cool things made by Hermes where you can add yours to be showcased too!
In addition to this there is a section called "Bots" where you will find an easy pathway to migrate all of your Grokbots over to Hermes
also in the bots section there is a way for you to add and share you own bots with the Hermes community.
I figured since the official mobile app will release in the near future and we already have a bots feature in the desktop app
I thought it would be great to create a space for the Hermes community to share and add interesting bots to their Hermes
Check it out, I'd love your feedback!
😂
Wow
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Musk never said "Try Hermes instead." This is edited.

Many great improvements in this latest Hermes Agent release, perhaps the biggest one being the WebApp: All of the sessions, plugins, and capabilities of the desktop app, now usable in a browser tab
This is especially useful for people who cannot download or use apps on their machines, now you just need a browser
I made this quick video introducing the WebApp and showing how it works. Check it out!

your hermes long-term memory is two small text files...
wrote the full guide on what loads every turn, why it "forgets", and how to check and fix it yourself
your Hermes Agent now shows you pictures and screenshots right in the terminal.
paste an image and it is drawn in the chat: real pixels in Kitty and Ghostty, colored blocks everywhere else.
this is super helpful to keep track of the conversation with your agent, very visual!

What's the one Hermes setup step you wish someone had explained on day one?
Models, memory, skills, browser access?
What were you trying to do, and where did you get stuck?

GitHub's Octoverse 2026 just put two agent harnesses at #1 on its most-engaged list
- Single-vendor side: Hermes Agent, ahead of OpenCode, Pi and VS Code
- Community side: OpenClaw, ahead of vLLM, llama.cpp and PyTorch
Most engaged = stars, forks and how many different people open PRs and issues. People aren't just starring these, they're shipping into them
I built Claw3D on OpenClaw, then moved everything to Hermes and built Herald on it. Watching both land at #1 the same year is wild

gm, made a guide about crons and how to make Hermes work while you sleep. I know we have a few new Hermes users that joined in so I wanted to get them rolling

Which Hermes command do you use every single day?
/btw, /steer, /bg, /new, something else?

Grok Bot works. Hermes works.
But who's holding the leash?
Grok Bot: THEY set your usage limits. THEY pick your model. Closed source.
Hermes: YOU pick your model, provider & budget. Run local with no API bill. Open source.
One rents you a bot. The other hands you the keys. 🪽
G'nite!

The official Hermes app is open for beta on iOS and Android, and it's great news for everyone building on Hermes
I'll keep building Herald
More clients means more people running their own agent. The official app sets the baseline, and community apps get to push on the edges.
Same agent, more ways to reach it.

THIS THING IS CLEAN AF! 🪽
The Hermes Mobile app is in beta right now.
If you weren’t at Nous Con, here is your very first look!
Well worth the wait! 🔥
the Desktop app is a big focus for us right now.
for everyone who runs Hermes Agent on more than one machine: once this PR lands, every gateway you've added stays connected and you can switch super easily between those.
lots more UX and design work on the way.
Been focusing on the Desktop app this last week or two.
This PR should be welcome news to a lot of you power users.
On next full release later this week I think you'll start noticing the difference in the desktop app getting noticeably nicer.
Still a long way to go, but we'll get there. Lots of UX and design work coming shortly.
