A collaboration with @hugobowne I am very pleased with: we’re figuring out agentic software factories in this article, in our course, and in many excellent conversations. oreilly.com/radar/the-agenti…

Friday tip: Group what matters in threes. Two sounds unfinished, and four sounds like a shopping list. Blood, sweat and tears. Not blood, sweat, tears and a bit of stress.

Friday tip: If you want people to remember your message, give them something to picture. "Sustainable growth" disappears in the mind. A seed breaking through soil stays. People forget abstract words. They remember images.

Friday tip: don't judge the first take! A first take works like a rehearsal. It's not a performance. Rehearsals are awkward. Nobody judges a play by its rehearsal. So stop judging yourself. That's what the second take is for. Just kidding, there's editing too. ;-)

Dror Poleg (@drorpoleg) is an economic historian of the near future - one of the few people with the gift of seeing around corners. I follow him to try and understand the current moment in AI, the economy, and society. What does an agentic future hold for us? How will jobs look like in the future? Are people ever coming back to the office, now that our agents are working in the cloud? @hugobowne and I will be hosting Dror for a session next week. This time, he'll be playing with open cards and share not just his insights, but also how he researches and analyses and thinks ... using AI. Join us, this is guaranteed to be illuminating: maven.com/p/dca855/thinking-…

Friday tip: when you're talking about something technical, explain it the simple way. Two technical terms in a sentence can cost you the viewer's attention.

You're allowed to pause on camera. Think about the last time you watched someone pause to think in a video, did it bother you? Probably not. It's human...So stop editing yourself in real time. Keep going, keep it flowing.

Friday tip: Don't take the decisiveness out of your sentences. Don't say "I think," "I don't know," "something like that." Erosion tags make your speech weaker. Without them, the same sentence sounds twice as convincing.

Sometimes the image needs to be clear and clean so your message stands out the most. A green screen might work too. We do both :)

Friday tip: When your voice rises at the end of a sentence, people hear doubt, even when you're sure. Drop the pitch, and you will sound convincing. Confidence isn't only in the words; it's also in how you say them. Try it. In the beginning it will feel strange.

Attention and trust aren't the same thing. A well-known name can get your company noticed, but trust has to be built with proof, not reach: customer testimonials and expert videos - the people who actually do the work. everywow.ch/en/2026/08/b2b-i…

The videos people remember aren't the ones with the best cameras. They're the ones that actually say something. Enough said. P.S. We still use great cameras.

Friday tip: Everyone thinks about doing webinars for reach, but you should actually do them for the people who already trust you - a bit. Those are the ones who show up, stay till the end, and tell someone else about it.
