Her performance here was fine. But it had the opposite of the intended effect on me. Through no fault of her own, she was reacting to a big reveal that was so underdeveloped and attempting to deliver a big emotional payoff so unearned that all I could do was cringe.
Soderbergh because he is as prolific as his filmography is diverse
Toss between Tarantino and Scorsese for sheer entertainment
As much as I dislike his recent work, Spielberg because, well, it's Spielberg

More like Exposition Day. A disasterclass in 'show don't tell'. Spielberg is better than this. My expectations were low and somehow I was still disappointed. (The two stars are for Emily Blunt, who gave the performance of a lifetime for a thoroughly mediocre movie).

රාජ්‍ය අංසේ වැඩකටයුතු සරල කරගැනීම ගැන ගොඩක් බණ කියවෙනවා.. අන්තර්ජාල තාක්සනයෙන් වැඩ ඉක්මන් කරගන්න හැටි කියෙනවා. ඒත් කතා විතරයි. ඒ තැන්වලට වැඩ කරගන්න ගිහාම රට ගිහින් වැඩ කරනවා වගේම අමාරුමිෂන් ටිකක් තමයි ඒයාලට හදල තියෙන්නේ..
නිකමට ඔය රජේ උන්දැලා ඉන්නවා නම් ඒ තැන්වලට සාමාන්‍ය සේවාව ගන්න මිනිහෙක් කොපමණ කාලයක් රස්තියාදු වෙනවද? කොපමණ වැඩකට නැති ෆෝම් ලියකිලියවිලි පුරවන්න වෙනවාද? දුර ඉදන් එන මිනිස්සුන්ට කොපමණ කට්ටක් කන්න වෙනවාද? ඔන්ලයින් ක්ලාස් එකක් ලේසියන් කරන්න පුලුවන් කම තියෙද්දි මිනිස්සු පිසිකල් ක්ලාස් වලටම රස්තියාදු කරන්න යනවාද? ආදී දේවල් හොයාබලන්න වටිනවා..
මීඩියා කට්ටියත් හැමදාම රටේ ප්‍රයිම් නිවුස් වෙන සලේගේ නැතිවුලබ්බ සෙවීම, මස්තානාදිපතිගේ පොඩි තව් තැලීම ආදිය විතරක්ම ෆලෝ නොකර සාමාන්‍ය මිනිහා මුහුණපාන දුක් ගැහැට අප්සැට් ගැනත් වාර්තා කොරනවා නම් වටිනවා.
No mainstream party has ever remained ideologically consistent, but (from JR to RP to DB to RW), the UNP's evolution over the last 50 years is unmatched. You don't even need to go that far back. The Yahapalana UNP and today's UNP (+SJB?) may as well be different parties entirely.
