watching Hulk Hogan versus the Honky Tonk Man on NBC’s WWF’s The Saturday Night Main Event. I’ll let you know who wins.

Kurt Angle can work any style, such as [gives Angle credit for Shane McMahon being willing to get suplexed through glass], or when he traded [those flat whispy open hand] punches [because Angle never learned how to throw a punch] with Austin
Replying to @segundacaida
he can work any style. you saw kurt throwing shane thru glass at king of the ring, him trading punches with steve austin and called it a day..you havnt actually watched and studied his catalogue.

lov the old njpw gimmick of playing the national anthems and superimposing the flag over the wrestler bc it gives u images like this. like yeah that probably is what america is all about isn't it
if I was in charge, I wouldn't go after every illegal streaming site, but I would go hard on the ones that post shitty cam rips without labeling them as such.

I honestly think that any wrestler who is unwilling to fly into a mystery city in Saudi Arabia to ensure TKO stock holders remain well fed by putting on a dumb wrestling show for monsters is a fucking coward.
Why are modern wrestling fans incapable of having an opinion that doesn’t lean on someone else’s opinions to back it up? Who gives a shit if someone received an award for wrestler or match of the year? Do you also argue that the Best Picture winner every year is the best film?
All of this shit is on tape. You can watch it with your own eyes. You can decide what you think about its quality without checking to make sure someone else also thinks so. Other people liking the things you like does not validate your taste, no matter how badly you want it to.

The Ethan Klein drama not all that interesting to me because I don’t know any of those people, but having to become increasingly pro-Israel to distract your former IDF wife from your adultery would be a pretty good late era Jeff subplot on Curb Your Enthusiasm

If you ever see larger accounts on here be a bit aggressively snippy with people in the replies,I need you to understand the cumulative effect of dozens of people saying the same stupid thing to you over and over as if they have discovered language for the first time.
One of the points of the book I’m writing involves the fact that there is little to no critical vocabulary for professional wrestling. Most of the language used by fans is that of the practitioner instead of the critic, so collectively there’s not much guidance around it as art.

I don't think enough people recognise wrestling as performance based art
There's a Meltzer driven need to quantify match quality, which leads to notions of an accepted standard, style & (ugh) canon
Enjoy what you enjoy. Like what you like. Or switch off and watch something else

It’s very funny that someone could live in America right now and argue that consensus means something.

inspired to get the notepad out, as it relates to the last 36~ hours here with Sami Zayn, Christian, and the WWE Approved Legends. feels sometimes like we're having two or three different conversations, so I thought I might explain a little clearer what I'm saying.
I need every last one of you morons to understand that your feelings about professional wrestling are not objective. There is not a checklist of things that make a great professional wrestlers. The only metric is play is "did I enjoy this".
If the answer is "I enjoyed this", it has zero bearing on whether or not someone else is going to enjoy it. Watch the matches. Form your own opinions on them. Stop worrying about whether your opinion is "correct." There is no correct.
