One of the darkest days for women’s rights in my lifetime. Obviously the immediate consequences will be suffered by women in the US - but this will embolden anti-abortion & anti-women forces in other countries too. Solidarity doesn’t feel enough right now - but it is necessary.
Right to abortion overturned by US Supreme Court after nearly 50 years in Roe v Wade ruling news.sky.com/story/right-to-…

Can’t even describe the rage I feel today. Roe V Wade overturned. A woman in Malta at risk of death due to denial of abortion.
Pro-life that’s a lie. You don’t care if people die. Fuck anti-choicers forever

I made this document b/c I know my friends + loved ones in the repro movement don't have the capacity to answer all questions, or tell folks where to go + what to do. I made this so you can turn your anger into action. We all can do something, here's how:

The overturn of Roe v Wade is just one of the many attacks on bodily autonomy we've seen in the US. Our rights are never protected under capitalism, in Ireland we've seen firsthand what an abortion ban can do. You can't ban abortions, you can only ban legal abortions.

Today is the first anniversary of Poland’s tribunal ruling enactment, falling just two days after the most recent confirmed death of a pregnant woman, Agnieszka.
Poland's abortion laws are lethal. #AniJednejWiecej

Really enjoying the @howtheyeswaswon podcast about the #RepealThe8th campaign in Ireland. Fascinating history that built up to the historic vote and loving the quietly inclusive language without making a big fuss about it #PregnantPeople

We recently helped Natalya*, who was diagnosed with a condition that meant pregnancy was a risk to her life. Doctors told her it was too dangerous for her to fly to another country.
#AbortionWithoutBorders helped her travel by land. She sent us this message once she was home.

ALT "Here in Poland they try to make women believe that terminating a pregnancy is something wrong, that we are murderers. But this is not true. I could have been in the shoes of poor Izabela, about whom there is now so much talk. It could have been me. "I would like to thank you twice over for being prepared to help, for lending a helping hand, for being willing and for simply being there. I do not know the words to thank you, but I thank fate for letting me hear about you.”

Hilarious to me that anti choice billboards have gone up around Dublin in 2021.
10 years after the anti choice billboards kicked off the repeal referendum which led to broadening off access to abortion.
Now thousands of people get abortions in Ireland #FreeSafeLegalLocal – at Dublin City, Ireland

Telling stories on platforms such as In Her Shoes in Ireland and My Body My Life in the UK adds to public understanding of abortion as a very common event, which affects us all in different ways. #AbortionIsNormal

I believe it’s a radically harmful idea that people would remain pregnant against their will, or that they would have to set aside their privacy or dignity to access abortion.

The 10th Annual March for Choice on 25th Sept is just 2 weeks away. We are inviting members to share what this year's march means to you. The theme is "Breaking Barriers" - even 3 years after Repeal, there are still too many barriers to safe abortion care in Ireland. #ARCMarch21

I can't even contemplate the abortion news from texas today. It is abhorrent. I'm tweeting to remind those feminists in the US that you can do this, you can reverse this. Underground, illegal abortions have always happened. People have always found a way to end pregnancies
