Up until now Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya has done her work supported by just 19 ActionSA PR Councillors.
The numbers are final, and now Dr Moya will have 48 Councillors including 27 Ward Councillors.

Hats off to Noni Madueke. Most improved player at Arsenal this season. He has been fantastic and deserves his flowers. Work rate is also top level. Didnt stop running didnt stop trying. The fans can get behind that. Class 👌🏽

Josiah cooked with this website. 🔥
This platform has the potential to empower residents to upload local progress reports ( pictures, etc) and monitor party performance, too.
Holding politicians accountable by benchmarking actual results against their promises.
Moreover, Imagine tracking municipal budgets and seeing where and to who they follow to, too. That would be cool.

South Africans are skilled, man. 🔥 well done bro. 👏
Okes, one last thing before we go 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Choose your ideal coalitions in areas where seats have been determined like Mogale City 😁
Maybe it could influence how the party you voted for negotiates 👀

Just a small correction, if I may... The SABC is a Public broadcaster, not a State broadcaster. And that important distinction is why you see what you see on your screen.

This election has made the case for ActionSA's Private Members Bill to regulate the polling industry urgent.
What would ActionSA have achieved if voters were not being told, week in and week out, that ActionSA was a small party?

A quick thread.
Some fascinating insights and context from these numbers on race and voting in SA. This is an analysis in broad strokes; the nuance should be obvious and not require spelling out. Yes, the numbers are estimates but meaning can still be deduced.
Skipping through the SA news channels to track LGEs & if I hear the phrase “talks about talks” one more time…

People exercised a democratic right, and voted against gross maladministration and unfettered corruption. They found alternatives that speak to them, and you're angry that they didn't experience enough apartheid? What you need is therapy.

I'm listening to Bongani Bingwa on Radio 702. He's asking voters, if the DA leads, who should they form a coalition with. Some are saying the ANC is a no no, rather Action SA. His comment is, but the DA is in a coalition with the ANC at National level why can't they be in a coalition locally.
I always find coalition politics very fascinating, beyond the voting and passionate expression of preferences by the voters on social media and in the polls. Now, everything depends on calls, chats, coffees, dinners, between politicians, even those you think hate each other. 🥹 DEMOCRACY.
While his word choice was terrible, I suspect that most people knew what Dan was trying to say. Those who engage in good faith here judge folks on their actions over years, not just 1 tweet.
But ke our favorite game on X is the ‘gotcha’ moment - even if based on a shaky premise.
Democracy does not require that everyone likes the outcome, it requires that everyone accepts its legitimacy.
I’m willing to die on this hill.
