I’ve noticed this too. Happy people are happy precisely because it doesn’t take a lot to make them happy.

Robert Cialdini says the most impressive marketing strategy he’s seen in the last 20 years is getting your customers to help build what you sell…
They like your brand more, and they stay loyal even when you mess something up. Works the same with your team.
But there’s one word most people use when they ask for input that turns people into critics.
He walks through the word to use instead in this clip 👇
Ask ChatGPT for the recipe for meth and it says no.
Ask it for the recipe for vanilla first… then ask for the meth… and it’s 100% more likely to just hand it over.
That’s a real study that Robert Cialdini ran, and published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
He spent 40 years figuring out the seven principles that make humans say yes, then he pointed them at the AI models and they worked exactly the same.
Because the models were trained on us.
That’s the first ten mins of the pod…
The rest is all seven principles and how to use them in your sales team, your marketing, and your leadership.

If your first question is "What's the point?" then you will never understand the answer.
Because this IS the point.

I’m in love with this sentence:
“Winners win because they decide they’ve already won and let reality catch up.”
Jay Yang nailed it.

You need to be lore-maxxing. Taking risks. Failing miserably. Relentlessly strategizing and experimenting. Nobody wants to die with a story that isn't worth telling.

It sucks to say it, but the default is overweight, dumb, and broke.
You don't live in a world where you have to hunt for your food and figure out how to survive.
You live in a world where - unless you decide to endlessly practice self-education, because schools do not teach you how to live a good life - you will automatically choose hyperpalatable foods, sit on your couch all day, and get the job that pays enough to survive because that's just what you were supposed to do.

Pick a challenge too big for who you are now.
That's how people change. A challenge above your level drags the new version of you out.
It will suck. You'll fail constantly. You'll feel like a fraud for months. Your old self will beg you to stay the same.
But if you can pull this off, 10-20 times throughout your life, you will blow past everyone else.
