As of 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, flights at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) are experiencing significant delays after a construction contractor damaged a fiber-optic line today.

UPDATE as of 9:20 p.m.: Airport operations are returning to normal as crews finalize repairs to the damaged fiber-optic cable. Airlines are working to resume normal flight schedules.
