₿ Bitcoin (BTC) Update: October 12, 2026 bitcoin:native Latest available market reports · Monday · All prices in USD unless noted. Bitcoin is showing a volatile, cautious recovery, but the rebound has not yet confirmed a sustained bullish trend. Today's reports place BTC around $82,700–$84,000, with the price moving around this range during the session.

24-hour outlook Base case: sideways / volatile My working expectation is that BTC tests the $81,300–$84,500 range while traders await inflation data. A decisive move outside this range could change the outlook. I don't have enough verified evidence to assign a reliable probability or an exact 24-hour price target. Three things I would monitor next: ETF flows — whether institutional buying returns. BTC's reaction around $84,000–$84,500. US CPI on Wednesday, October 14, which could move interest-rate expectations and crypto markets. My takeaway: I would not treat today's rebound alone as confirmation of a bull run. BTC needs to reclaim resistance with stronger spot demand; losing $81,300 would raise downside risk.
The #Crypto space is getting interestingly scary and exciting. Modes changing fast and you better be ready for the success or consenquencies You have decided. Have a great day today #cryptofam.

A MUST WHEN OWNING A CRYPTO WALLET
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POST YOU'LL READ TODAY. This week, someone lost $6.6 Million in Ledger wallet drain. He bought the dip, didn't panic sell, and then one wallet switch cost him all 80 $BTC. Most drainers need your wallet to be online or need you to sign something you didn't read. So here's how to set up a wallet on a spare iPhone that goes online once and never again. 1. Buy a new, sealed iPhone The cheapest model works. Buy it from a store, never secondhand. A used phone could be tampered with before it reaches you. 2. Make a new Apple ID Use it only on this phone. If your main Apple ID ever gets hacked, this phone stays out of it. 3. Turn off Face ID and Touch ID Use a long passcode with letters and numbers. Face ID can be unlocked by holding the phone up to your face, even against your will. A 6-digit code can be cracked in about a day. A 10+ character one would take thousands of years. 4. Turn on Lockdown Mode Settings > Privacy & Security > Lockdown Mode. It switches off the features spyware usually uses to break in. Also, in your passcode settings, keep USB accessories switched off. That stops the charging port from passing data while the phone is locked. 5. Download the wallet app On your home WiFi, download an offline wallet app that signs with QR codes. Pick one that's open source. This is the last time the phone goes online. 6. Cut every connection Remove the SIM and delete any eSIM. Turn on Airplane Mode. Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth. Leave it like this forever. 7. Create your wallet Write the 24 words on paper or steel. Never take a photo of them, and never type them anywhere. If the phone dies, those words are how you get your coins back. 8. Move coins with QR codes On your normal phone, install that wallet's watch-only companion app. It can see your balance but can't spend anything. To send coins, it shows a QR code. Scan it with the offline iPhone, check the details, and approve. The iPhone shows a QR back. Scan that with your normal phone, and the transaction goes out. Your keys never leave the offline phone. 9. Store it switched off Turn it fully off before putting it away. A switched-off iPhone is much harder to break into. Every few months, charge it to about 50%. A battery left dead for years can get ruined. It takes one afternoon. After that, your keys never touch the internet again. Save this for later.

Send it! Pass it!
Exactly one year ago, we saw one of the worst crash in the history of crypto. Bitcoin crashed $20,000 in 8 hours. $16.4 billion in longs were liquidated. Altcoins nuked by 40–70%. Some coins literally went to zero. So Many lives were destroyed that day, but no one was ever held accountable. This is another reason why we need Clarity Act and other clear regulations in crypto.

Issues of having #crypto. #security
This is really sad. Someone bought 80 BTC at $65,500 in Q2 and was up $1.44 MILLION as Bitcoin rallied. Last month, he bought a Ledger to keep it safe. Today, his wallet got drained, and he lost everything. Imagine losing it all while trying to protect it.

Another one here to watchout for #cryptofam. #Read and #learn not just by experience. They exist. #supportingthisguy
If you trade on @pumpfun your exit liquidity for bundled coins made by scammer devs and the @pumpfun payroll cabal @pumpfun perpetuates the scam by paying KOLs who push their platform and rug coins at 15k MCAP @pumpfun paid these KOLs $1M for calling out bundled memecoins under $15k mcap the majority rugged sub 50k this is a whole other level of farming new retail users to #crypto I call it the rug fly wheel, pay KOLs, farm retail the perfect crime flywheel

Another Loss, with similarity issue same as the other ones.
⚠️ Beware if you use a Ledger hardware wallet, especially if you bought one recently. Based on information so far, it seems to be localized to a supply chain attack with one vendor. A small number of people probably bought fake (or tampered) Ledgers. Ledger is one of the most secure and oldest hardware wallets in the industry. Stood the test of time. But these things happen. I expect and know all BNB ecosystem players (and all industry) to help trace and recover the funds.

99.9% Risky.
BREAKING: Vitalik states that @Pumpfun has killed memecoins by turning new retail investors entering the crypto space into degenerate gamblers and with no real-world use, the industry will die fast. He also stated that @pumpfun has been a net negative to crypto since it was released in 2024 by draining the $crypto ecosystem and turning retail into gamblers not investors. He also said the platform is setup like a slot machine you keep clicking until your fully drained - pump ultimately wins but retail loses.
