Student Physicians Shane Tyrie, OMS-II and @JulianaMadej, OMS-III represented ICOM during the ACG 2026 Conference, hosted by the American College of Gastroenterology. SP Tyrie, who currently serves as President of ICOM’s GI Club, won an award for outstanding poster presenter.

At ICOM, learning extends far beyond the classroom! With more than 50 student clubs and organizations, there are plenty of opportunities for our future physicians to explore their interests, build connections, develop leadership skills, and give back to the community.

ICOM’s OB/GYN Interest Group recently hosted an Episiotomy Clinic led by Dr. Don Dyer. After learning about the use of episiotomies, students got hands-on practice with suturing techniques using custom-made models, helping them gain a better understanding of this procedure.

Members of ICOM’s Urology Club recently volunteered at the River of Life Men’s Shelter in Boise, helping serve dinner to individuals in need. #IdahoCOM #CommunityService #MedicalEducation

An ICOM reunion at #ACEP26 👏

Members of ICOM’s Endocrinology Club recently volunteered at Hodia Care Camp, an Idaho camp that empowers children living with Type 1 diabetes to build confidence, independence, and meaningful friendships with peers who understand their experiences.

ICOM’s Dermatology Club recently partnered with the Get It Dunn Foundation, St. Luke's, and Mountain Pine Dermatology at a Boise State University women’s soccer game to promote skin cancer awareness and prevention.
