If you are a devrel in web3. Or a documentation writer. Or a solidity developer framework. And you are encouraging developers to put their private keys into unencrypted plain text (in a .env or elsewhere) These are partially your fault. Fix your documentation now.
tldr; got $40k drained just now i was submitting OP retro grants app. had to make github repo public for a sec. forgot i had my secret key in there (cuz im quite literally retarded, my IQ is 26). got drained of everything.

Day 1: Introduction to DevRel in Web3 #10DaysOfDevRel In the rapidly evolving realm of web3, the role of Developer Relations (#DevRel) has become increasingly pivotal. As a unique blend of marketing, software development, and product management, DevRel sits at the crossroads where community and technology meet. Its primary goal is to foster a thriving developer ecosystem around a product or platform, ensuring that developers have the support, resources, and knowledge they need to succeed. Understanding DevRel The essence of Developer Relations is about building and nurturing relationships. It's about understanding the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the developer community, and acting as a bridge between them and the organizations building web3 technologies. Unlike traditional marketing roles, DevRel focuses on fostering genuine, long-term relationships based on trust, value, and collaboration. It's about creating a two-way dialogue where developers feel heard, supported, and empowered to build amazing things. The Significance of DevRel in Web3 The decentralized ethos of web3 brings about new paradigms in how software is built, distributed, and interacted with. This decentralization extends to the developer communities as well, which are often globally distributed, open-source, and collaborative. DevRel professionals in the #web3 space have the task of navigating this decentralized, often community-driven landscape. They play a crucial role in: 👉Community Building: Establishing a strong, engaged community around a project or platform, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among developers. 👉Education and Support: Providing developers with the resources, tools, and support they need to effectively use web3 technologies. 👉Feedback Collection: Acting as a conduit for feedback between the developer community and the organization, ensuring that products evolve in a way that meets the needs of developers. 👉Advocacy: Promoting the adoption of web3 technologies, and advocating for the interests and needs of the developer community. The Multifaceted Role of a DevRel Professional A day in the life of a DevRel professional in the web3 space is anything but monotonous. It might involve: * Crafting educational content like tutorials, blog posts, or documentation. * Hosting or participating in community events, webinars, or hackathons. * Engaging with developers on social media, forums, and other online platforms. * Collaborating with internal teams to align on product messaging, feature launches, and community initiatives. * Analyzing community metrics to measure engagement, identify areas for improvement, and report on the impact of DevRel initiatives. Embracing the Future As web3 technologies continue to grow in prominence and the ecosystem matures, the role of Developer Relations will only become more crucial. The ability to effectively engage with, support, and advocate for developers will be a key determinant of a project's success and impact in the web3 space. In the coming days, we'll delve deeper into the various facets of DevRel within web3, exploring strategies for community building, the importance of technical documentation, metrics and KPIs, and much more. Stay tuned for an exciting journey into the heart of developer engagement in the decentralized digital frontier.
