A New Milestone in Atmospheric Science and Air Quality Research! Hon’ble Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Earth Sciences, @DrJitendraSingh, inaugurated the Advanced Atmospheric Chemistry and Aerosol Toxicity Analysis Laboratory (AATAL) at IITM Delhi. During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister explored the laboratory’s advanced facilities, received technical briefings on AATAL instruments and AIRWISE, and visited the Aerosol Toxicity Laboratory. The inauguration was held in the presence of Dr. Srinivasa Kumar Tummala (@tummalasrini), Secretary, @moesgoi; Dr. A. Suryachandra Rao, Director, @iitmpune; and Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director General of Meteorology (DGM), @Indiametdept. An important initiative under #MissionMausam, #AATAL aims to strengthen atmospheric research, advance air quality studies, and enhance scientific understanding of aerosols and their potential impacts on human health. MoES–AcSIR MoU for Advancing Research in Earth Sciences The Ministry of Earth Sciences (@moesgoi) and the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (@AcSIR_India) signed an MoU to strengthen scientific collaboration and doctoral research. The MoU was signed by Dr. Praveen Kumar D., Scientist-G and Mission Director, Mission Mausam, on behalf of MoES, and Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Director, AcSIR. It was formally declared during a meeting chaired by Dr. Srinivasa Kumar Tummala (@tummalasrini), Secretary, MoES, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. All ten MoES institutes are now recognised as AcSIR Associated Research Institutes (AcSIR-ARIs) and are participating in AcSIR’s latest Call for PhD Enrolment. The collaboration will enable PhD scholars to undertake research at MoES institutes, promote interdisciplinary scientific inquiry by utilizing shared resources of world class standards.
