🇸🇬 Singapore! The entire country is malls, hotels, luxury, business and food. Reminds me of Dubai a lot! There's actually a lot of events on Luma, more than in other countries in the region so a good place to build I think
finally met @illyism and @hboon, my first time meeting X friends IRL ☕️ great to learn what they are doing with their SaaS products

The internet is healing All these 0-days were already there for years I guess New models are better at finding them? Devs are always the first since code is easy to scan I hope next is cancer

Every @marclou launch follows the exact same script: "noooo you can't just sell a Next.js boilerplate for $199, look at this leaked CLI token!!" → fixes it in 2 hours → prints $1M+ with ShipFast "noooo you can't teach coding in 2 weeks, you're not even a real senior engineer!!" → ships CodeFast anyway → $30k/mo peak ($7k/mo today) "noooo you can't just build web analytics, attribution is hard and your tracking script has bugs!!" → patches every bug in public → DataFast is at $31k/mo "noooo you can't just vibe-code a verified Stripe database, people are spoofing webhooks and test keys!!" → uses Twitter haters as free QA, patches every exploit, adds acquisitions → TrustMRR is now at $53k/mo Today: "noooo you can't just vibe-code a beehiiv alternative over the weekend, email deliverability and SES wrappers are way too hard!!" Half of X is writing essays in his quote tweets doing free QA and giving him 500k impressions while he fixes the edge cases in prod lol 😂 Never bet against Marc
I vibe-coded beehiiv, and it's 83% cheaper. ✨✨ Introducing MailCheap.ai ✨✨ Everything you need to run a newsletter... ✍️ Editor 📅 Scheduling 📈 Stats 🌐 A website for every issue 🛡️ Deliverability guardrails 🔗 Send from your own domain (and keep your reputation) And it's not a dinosaur tool: + It's open source; you can run it for free + It's agentic; everything in the UI is available to your AI Import from beehiiv, Substack, or Mailchimp in 2 minutes. You pay for the emails you send, not for dormant subscribers. From $19/month. Oh, and no "Powered By" badge at the bottom of your emails.

Everyone is turning slow desktop GUIs into CLIs and MCPs now Like I hated cutting pauses and fixing captions in CapCut so I built scribiz.com (CLI + MCP + Mac app) Yesterday I ran a 30-min video through it: `scribiz video.mp4 --pauses=razor --remove-fillers --cut-video clean.mp4` It transcribed the audio perfectly, fixed the issues, made 560 cuts with 8ms audio fades so no words get clipped, removed 5.2 mins of silence, and burned in yellow word-by-word captions automatically :D Now I just drag and drop a 30 min SEO roast into Claude and it does the whole thing end to end perfectly!

I will be really honest :D I have no idea. I used the repo as a base, I pointed claude to it, the goal of the repo is to teach your Claude to reverse engineer the tools you use and make it a CLI. So i showed repo to claude and then I said using the knowledge in the repo please make a CLI thing for Capcut :D Now I have it :D I mean it can't do much but it can cut the video, add new files and make basic edits which is fine for me. Will try to share this into the cli marketplace of the repo.

It used to take me days to plan and book all my flights and hotels Now I just ask Claude what flights I'm missing It checks my email, calendar and hotel bookings, finds every gap for the next 2 months, picks flights around my 4pm hotel checkout via Google flights, fills my passport in Chrome and waits at the Pay button (or the "I am not a robot" screen) Then it checks my email for the receipt and updates my notes But when I arrive at the airport I am always like "damn I really hope Opus was not retarded that day" and I try to figure out what I actually paid for :D
Most of the tools I use daily now get operated by an agent through MCP rather than by me through a browser The ones without an MCP server are the ones I'm trying to replace We need more MCPs

It's hard to accept that in a few months almost everything my mind can do, AI does better I'm trying to learn a language right now and it's sooo damn slow, while any translator does it instantly Same with coding, drawing, copywriting, piano, photography, design, editing videos, anything I try to get good at Everything I spent 15 years getting good at is now a 10 second prompt, and learning anything new feels like running in sand We're limited by our minds and body I think How do you even cope with this?

I know a lot of people struggle with making SEO content so here is a bit of what I found REALLY good: Just open a screen recorder, go through every app in a roundup / listicle and talk about what I actually think Then Claude reads the transcript and writes the article in my words It can then look at the transcript, and extract images from the video and add them directly to the blog post It's the only way I know to make AI content that isn't slop, because the opinions are real, since you tested the apps and gave your unique insight Same works with you recording yourself reading competitor blog posts, just yap yourself to page 1

100% I did the same for @LinkDR_ My admin MCP now has 87 tools so Claude runs the whole link building process for me (finding sites, pitching editors, checking if links are live, emailing customers, writing in Slack) I barely open my own admin dashboard anymore I think :D

I built AI chat assistants and an MCP server / Codex plugin for my marketing platform right away. Now my Dot does the grunt work…

Fun challenge for indie hackers: no landing page Your homepage is just the app and a login or pay button All the marketing happens on X, Reddit, LinkedIn, listicles and AI answers anyway Most people tinker on their website forever while nobody is visiting it 🤷‍♂️

ILIAS ISM retweeted
another banger seo roast
Replying to @illyism
@illyism audit said 81% of our search traffic lands on one free Instagram handle checker that almost nobody signs up from 😭 Free tools man, they annoy me What we've shipped from his advice: - Swapped the trial box for free downloads on each guide (guess need to a a guide, oops) - 18 per-platform MCP pages and a /connectors hub - A public MCP repo, submitted to directories - An Instagram grid planner and a TikTok username checker - A Google Business guide rewritten with real screenshots Daily visits went from about 480 to about 800 over the last 3 days (+68%), peaking at 905 on Oct 14. Is it from Ilias feedback? I reckon so, I've done little to no other work on the site, no ads etc. We'll see. So far some 'low hanging fruit' that I wish I thought of tbh. But can't think of it all can you.

A few people asked how I got the extension 28x faster and 96% smaller without breaking anything I used my own /benchmarking skill that forces the agent to freeze a baseline in µs/op first, test 3 hypotheses, and verify identical outputs before touching production code It's open source and works in Cursor, Claude Code and Codex: npx skills add Illyism/dev-skills --skill benchmarking
This tweet by @robj3d3 is now a few months old so today with Gemini I tried to rebuild and ended up cutting the codebase from 91,483 lines down to 8,523 lines :D Turns out the original extension was 10.7 MB with 40+ npm packages and 17 jsonpath passes on every timeline scroll, so replacing that with a single pass made it 28x faster and 27x smaller It also now runs 100% locally in your browser with zero external server calls and lets you 1-click copy any account's outlier tweets into Claude or Cursor Just DM me if you want the zip to try it!

performance engineering used to be a way to filter out interesting people (grokking flamegraphs/encyclopedic knowledge of underlying systems) now it's mostly commodified :/ anyone with enough tokens can improve speed given some benchmark

And it takes just 1 prompt to copy it to LinkedIn 🫢
