After my 4th time being rejected by @ycombinator, everyone told me to give up.
People I looked up to told me to go find a “real job”. That as a 20-something dropout on a visa, I needed more experience. That, despite 10+ years of coding, I didn’t have the right background. 😩
Self-taught coder at 15. ML engineer at 17. Moved across the world to build my first AI company. Exited. Started again.
Somewhere along the way, I learned that building great technology and building a great company are two very different things.
