Yes, we have successfully completed the blacktopping of the road stretch from Mabudhou Mantri Leikai to Akham Lampak, well ahead of the inauguration of the newly constructed retaining walls of the pond, along with its beautification works. Our commitment remains to ensure better infrastructure and development across all localities, continuing the progress achieved over the last 14.5 years. Next, we are targeting the blacktopping of Kwakeithel Hourakchambi ahead of the inauguration of the newly constructed double storey club building and the pond retaining walls on 14th November. Furthermore, FDR works at Paona Bazaar, Wahengbam Leikai will commence immediately after Ningol Chakouba. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead

Delighted to inaugurate the Overhead Water Tank and Reservoir at Sagolband Tera, under the Manipur Water Supply Project supported by the New Development Bank (NDB). Over the past 14.5 years, Sagolband has witnessed remarkable progress in its water supply infrastructure, with access to adequate drinking water reaching most localities. When I began my political journey, several localities in Sagolband depended on polythene and GI pipelines. Today, those old pipelines are being replaced with durable DI pipelines, ensuring a stronger and more reliable water supply network across the constituency. Another significant milestone is the 24/7 Water Supply Scheme at Bijoy Govinda, where construction has already reached 20%. This pilot project is an important step towards positioning Sagolband at the forefront of round the clock drinking water supply, first of it’s kind in Manipur. Development is not just about promises, it is about delivering lasting improvements that transform people’s lives. Our commitment remains unwavering, to build quality infrastructure, ensure better public services, and create a more developed Sagolband that contributes to a stronger and more prosperous Manipur. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead #WaterForAll

We will next take up FDR (Full Depth Reclamation) works at Mayaikoibi, the Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai to Mayaikoibi stretch, Wahengbam Leikai, Paona Bazaar, and several other roads, followed by concrete road construction. We will also commence blacktopping work from Sagolband Mabudhou Mantri Leikai to Akham Lampak by tomorrow. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead

As mentioned earlier, we have ensured that the blacktopping works at Sagolband Salam Leikai and Keisampat Mutum Leirak have been completed. Our responsibility is to ensure that infrastructure development reaches every locality of Sagolband. While we have made considerable progress towards this goal, our efforts continue. As legislators, we do not directly build roads. Our role is to identify the needs of the people, raise them with the concerned departments and ensure that the necessary programmes and projects are taken up by the government for implementation. Pleased to note that several infrastructure projects across Sagolband have witnessed significant progress, bringing development closer to the people. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead

We began our journey together 20 years ago, when we were in our 30s, even before I contested my first election. Those were the days when I would drive us around as we went from place to place, meeting people and laying the foundation of our political journey. Over these two decades, we have shared a lifetime of memories, witnessed countless highs and lows, and stood together through every challenge. From the Congress denying me a ticket in 2007 and 2012 to the proud moments of winning three consecutive elections, this journey has taught us the true meaning of perseverance, faith and the power of staying connected to our roots. Never forget your past and your roots, because the moment you begin to forget where you came from is the beginning of the end. I am only human and I may not be able to fulfil every wish or expectation of every person. But I can say with pride that I have always remained close to the people, worked to the best of my ability, and strived to earn their trust through my actions. To all my dear friends who have been part of this incredible journey, thank you for your unwavering support, your faith, and the countless memories we have created together. You have made this journey truly memorable.

Was called upon by elder brother Ta Tenao Thangjam from Sagolband Thangjam Leirak, where we had a fruitful discussion on various issues, reflecting on the journey of the last 15 years. Although we have never been on the same political platform over the past decade and a half, with him having supported the former MLA for more than two decades, we have now pledged to work together for the welfare and development of the people of the locality and Sagolband as a whole. We are committed to moving forward together with a shared vision of serving the people and building upon the developmental and welfare initiatives undertaken in Sagolband over the past 14.5 years. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead

Wonderful interacting with the members of Keisamthong Kabui Khul, including the respected elders of Thoubei, on the completion of the upgradation and renovation of the community hall. The works include newly installed roofing materials and the completion of the stage. Concrete laying along the pathway to the cemetery has also been undertaken, along with ground development to pave the way for a new park and open gym in the near future. It was truly heartwarming to receive the blessings of the elders, whose wisdom and encouragement inspire us in all our future endeavours. Over the past few years, water pipelines have been laid across the entire locality, ensuring an adequate water supply to the adjoining areas. Rigid pavement works will commence soon, with the construction of drains and the laying of paver blocks to further improve local infrastructure and connectivity. #ProgressForAll #SagolbandMarchingAhead

Such operations are the need of the hour, and it should be done across the whole State and ensure that no illegal weapon is being used and kept. Government should commence Operation Manipur and save all our people from anarchy and further destruction.

OPERATION MANIPUR: DISARMAMENT OF ALL WEAPONS The time has come to initiate “Operation Manipur”, a decisive, lawful and comprehensive initiative to protect the people of Manipur and prevent further disintegration of the state’s social fabric under the shadow of armed violence and fear. I have consistently maintained that disarmament is the key to lasting peace in Manipur. Particular attention must be given to the hill areas, where serious concerns persist over the movement of armed groups and the continued presence of illegal weapons. Submitted a formal representation to the Governor and the CM of Manipur, urging the government to take concrete, time-bound measures to disarm all unlawful armed groups, recover illegal weapons and ensure stringent legal action against those responsible for killing unarmed civilians and terrorising ordinary people. Had earlier initiated this proposal to the CM in August too. Also call for the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, which requires urgent reconsideration in light of the continuing concerns over armed intimidation, public safety and accountability. No agreement should become a shield against accountability or undermine the security and confidence of ordinary citizens. Peace cannot be sustained while illegal weapons remain in circulation and innocent civilians continue to live in fear. The rule of law must prevail and every citizen deserves security, dignity and equal protection, irrespective of community or geographical location. Urge the government to act with determination, impartiality and constitutional responsibility. The objectives must be clear - protect innocent lives, restore public confidence, ensure accountability, dismantle unlawful armed intimidation and create the conditions necessary for a peaceful and united Manipur. #OperationManipur

Interacted with the youths of Sagolband along with their guardians, engaging in meaningful discussions on a wide range of issues concerning Sagolband and the State as a whole. We also reflected on our political journey, which began nearly 15 years ago, and the experiences and lessons gathered along the way. I urged everyone to make an informed and judicious choice when electing their representative by carefully examining the candidate’s antecedents, vision for the constituency and the State, and track record, both as an individual and in public life. The future of our constituency and our State depends on the choices we make today. Let us choose wisely, choose the person who is amongst the people for all the five years, working for the betterment of the people, and not be seen only during the run up to an election. #ProgressForAll #sagolbandmarchingahead #wesupportrkimo

We have commenced further blacktopping works at Sayang Pukhri Mapal, with the aim of improving road infrastructure and providing better facilities for the people of the locality. As rainfall has decreased, more such works will be taken up in areas including Kwakeithel Awang Thiyam Leikai, Takhellambam Leikai, Salam Leikai and other localities. FDR (Full Depth Reclamation) works will also commence at Wahengbam Leikai, Paona Bazaar, Mayaikoibi, Amudon Nambul Riverside Road and other areas. Earlier, we handed over the newly constructed and beautified Sayang Pukhri Complex, featuring a park, an open gym, ground development, resurfacing, lighting and pathways around all sides of the pond.
