Change has stated this repeatedly: do not follow artists outside of official schedules, and do not follow them into private spaces such as airports. Yet it keeps happening. Photos and videos are still being posted on X, taken at boarding gates, arrival halls before customs, and even inside the airplane. Seriously, why should our artists be treated like this? You might say, “But they’re smiling at the camera.” But what do you expect them to do? Scold fans or cause a scene at the airport or on a plane? Of course they won’t. Smiling doesn’t mean they’re comfortable. Yes, off-stage moments may look “cute” to you. But at what cost? Why are fans normalizing this behavior, reposting it, and encouraging more people to do the same? Every share tells others: this is acceptable. It is not. After their official schedules end, can we please give them a proper break? A simple wave and a quiet “hi” is more than enough and I truly believe they would appreciate that far more than having phones constantly pointed at them. If you truly love them, protect them.
