i never really really realized how much foreigners actually fuck with khorhog (meat cooked with hot stones), i just kinda assumed they looked down on it but it seems to fit right into the "unprocessed authentic diet" trend going on which is funny 😭
for good revenge plot to function, there should be friction, fundamental difference between the two people that puts them at odds at one point.. be it morality, class, culture or external connection but these 2 don't have any of those, just self reinforcing sycophantic loop 😵💫

my sister said it's pretty insufferable to watch when both of the protagonists are just echoing their hatred back at eachother with no external connection and attachment that might make them more appealing to the average viewer and i agree honestly 😭
watched jdgr ep6 (cause i didn't before) and it's pretty amazing in a bad way what the author did with the merkits cause yeah go ahead old man tell her why the mongols are actually on your ass instead of letting her spend the rest of her life in delusion induced mania
yuan dynasty terligs were ahead of their time because i'm absolutely marveling at this pleated waist band... it literally looks like modern elastic material but every pleat was actually handsewn 700 years ago
some of the ilkhanid miniatures are so cute... this one shows the khan courting, showing an open affection (by touching her chin) and flirting with his khatun while she tries to act modest 😭
son of some kipchak guy saying this is even hilarious, you're not even related to borte chino in any way 😭😭😭
one of my biggest pet peeves is when people can't tell the difference between a mongol yurt and central asian yurt while drawing because the outside silhouette does not match the interior and you have this frankenstein monster of mongol silhouette with central asian interior
i understand why the manchu ladies had those long finger guards, cause the ring and pinky finger nails grow relatively long and pretty resilient compared to the other 3 even when you're not a noble who doesn't even dress yourself 😭
should I actually watch empress ki... i feel like i'm gonna end up grinding my teeth to dust from sheer frustration but i wanna see ji chang wook as toghon temur...
i'm always puzzled when foreigners act surprised upon seeing genghis khan everywhere in mongolia, as if there's anything odd about a nation plastering their founding father everywhere to prove their legitimacy and the continuation of their state, literally politics 101
