They don't believe their own arguments. They know that non-citizens don't vote. They know that Palestinians won't end up being Israeli citizens even if there is peace. They know political disfunction among the Palestinians is 99% of the reason they aren't voting even now.
Given that even Benjamin Netanyahu plans to scale back on the money he takes regardless of what congress does, this isn't even a position anyone actually takes. I'm pretty neutral on the funding, and we're in such deficit that perhaps we shouldn't be funding them. But then I expect you to be just as mad about the money we give to the Egyptians.
The part people object to are the lies you tell to justify taking the funding. You start with the genocide lie, switch over to murder, talk about Hamas counts which I sincerely suspect are not right. And then you lie about what "Zionists" want.
Wait a goddamned second. I mean just hold your horses. Weren't you literally a week or two ago complaining that the food mix entering Gaza wasn't diverse enough, and they were just getting flour? What happened to all of that surplus?
Bakeries across Gaza are struggling to find flour to make bread for people desperate for food.
As families queue for dwindling supplies, aid agencies are unable to provide the basics due to a lack of funds.
The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has warned famine is a real risk.
Severe hunger stalks people in Gaza as bakeries close down

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of the conception of citizenship.
Immigration officials approved 173,000 people for citizenship through the first eight months of 2026, down 72 percent from last year.
A sharp tapering off in naturalizations has left hundreds of thousands of immigrants waiting as midterms approach. wapo.st/4z8e6E3

No islamists in congress, ever. Never compromise, never prevaricate, never moralize until you're inverted and want and islamist for congress. Jewish safety in the US depends on us resisting the virus of Islamism.
These cowards can't make the case, so they false report. They celebrate terrorists and jihadists and then report you. Palestinians and their defenders are the ultimate cowards and losers.
I know I'm just being frustrated, but I am now convinced that the vast majority of humans cannot form a coherent argument or actually debate a point. And it's not just Mehdi "Lose Every Argument" Hasan. It's most people it seems.
Now that Gaza propaganda seems to be drying up, the Palestinians are focused on West Bank fakery now. Israel needs to get proactive now, generate counter propaganda before any of this stuff comes out.

As with all things, our base ideologies determine how we see events. The goal has to be to remain sufficiently self critical in case our assumptions are wrong. It's always brought into stark relief when you see someone with extremely bad assumptions interpreting a situation.

People here say things like "Zionists are" and "Zionists believe" and act like being a Zionist is a totalizing ideology. Zionism, at least a minimal version, means believing Israel should continue to exist. But really that describes almost nothing about what I actually believe, except for that one thing.
Why am I muting people who have terrible takes on the thruster-car? I even debate pro-Pallies a lot of the time.
I think it's because I don't really care about the argument but if they're going to make such a crap case on this, I don't care to hear them on anything else.
While this is just some bot account, it shows how people think. A lot more than 6 American civilians were killed in the war, so it's a lie, but let's say that's the case. It's an interesting example that shows how historical blindness, ignorance of the rest of an entire war leads to extremely misleading ideas.

I think we may be nearly to the point in the anti-Zionist movement where they confront the failure to destroy Israel and launch attacks at each other accusing everyone in their movement of "Zionism." Begin the circular firing squad.

In anti-Zionist circles the term Zionist is almost like the term Trotskyist in the soviet union. It's just an accusation of heresy. The movement may be ready to turn on itself.

Well now you're making a very extremely different claim than you were earlier. First you said that the letter was racist and now you're saying that actually he agreed with your position and that the letter was a political compromise to get the rest of the genocide convention. Do you not think this is moderately too extremely dishonest way to frame the letter?
And again I don't necessarily think that Jim-Crow or lynching actually meets the definition that was agreed upon. That's not saying that either of those things were good it's saying it doesn't meet the definition.
