The three milestones every trader eventually achieves:
1. Lose money.
2. Gain experience.
3. Lose money with even more confidence.
Weekend plans:
Celebrate Halloween, playtest my first board game with friends, try out a few other board games, catch up on the latest earnings and just chill.
I'll review my portfolio over the weekend and execute the changes during the week, exit businesses where the numbers disappoint, hold those delivering and manage exposure.
That's pretty much all that's in my control. No point stressing your heart over everything else. Markets will do what they do. Life goes on.
You live only once. ❤️
The reason I’m not doing intraday these days is simple: I know I can’t show up consistently due to other work commitments.
Trading intraday on random days has hurt my results in the past. So there’s no point doing something I can’t commit to doing consistently.
I’m sticking to a few short-term oversold bounce trades. Medium-term PF is entirely market-regime dependent, and the current regime isn’t great. All I can do is manage risk and exposure.
Been working on something new under the Good Rascals vertical: All in the Family!
An Indian wedding-themed social deduction board game where family ties, hidden agendas and suspicion collide.
Version 1 is in production. Will be rolling out the first playtests soon!
The real opportunity is finding companies whose earnings are about to accelerate, before the market recognises the change.
That's what I look for in my medium-term portfolio: improving growth, margins and businesses with the potential to surprise on the upside.
Antelopus has held up very well and the results have been pretty good too. Will be tracking this one!
Where the broader market goes from here is only a guess. But the data clearly points out that the regime is weak, breadth is poor, and the overall structure hasn't improved enough for me to get comfortable. But we've had a two-day bounce. What if this turns into a rally?
In my medium-term portfolio, I'm raising cash because I want to respect the market, not predict it.
My approach is simple: results. I'm reviewing my holdings and cutting exposure where the numbers or the underlying business are weakening.
I'm not making major changes to stocks that have delivered good results, though. Many of my holdings are still awaiting results, which makes it difficult to be more aggressive with cuts.
If I come across exceptional earnings stories, I might use some of the cash to build tracking positions and add more if the market regime improves.
If things get worse, I'll have cash to deploy. If breadth improves, market structure strengthens, and the rally sustains, I can participate more aggressively.
I don't need to predict the next move. I just need to stay prepared for either outcome.
One of the best quotes I have read in recent times:
"Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach."

Guys, is there any reason why domestic flights are costing an arm and leg? Ab yeh kaunsa masterstroke hai koi mujhe bata do pls.
Bhagwan mujhe bure din lauta do koi, yeh ache din ab digest nahi go rahe.
Seems like everyone today has gone after HFCSML250 ETF including me.
Rationale was oversold bounce + reversal in structure on the 15 min TF!

Stand-up comedian Masoom Rajwani and several others were detained by Mumbai Police for participating in a peaceful candlelight vigil in memory of Sahil Wakode, a Dalit student who died by suicide at IIT Bombay over alleged caste discrimination.
What the hell is wrong with Mumbai Police? Is brutality the response to anyone who dares to raise their voice?
Strongly condemn this and stand with @Masoom_Rajwani!
This is a chat with a childhood friend from August 2023.
She had paid 75k to Avadhut Sathe's academy. I had warned her repeatedly but she chose to believe their lies.
Today she is like can I get my refund too? 😭
