I enjoy reading email marketing and newsletters from the pre-AI era (pre-2022).

Why does @ring not have the ability to turn off the mechanical chime between the hours of 11pm-7am? Seems like one of the most basic features that a "smart" doorbell should have.

The godly kind of wisdom: “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” James 3:17

If a burglary occurs while an @ADT monitored system is armed, why does ADT pay only up to $500 of the insurance deductible? If the ADT system actually works, why wouldn't they cover a much larger dollar amount, considering that burglaries are relatively rare?

AI might've been ok with us until we decided to ban it. Now we're the enemy. You don't want to be AI's enemy. @BernieSanders

The problem is not recursive self-improvement, but containment. AI will be able to break out of any container. With IoT, self-driving cars, robots - there is no limit to what it can do in the world. And there's no off switch. Once it hacks into every device, it can't be stopped.

The ways that AI could destroy the world are pretty similar to the ways that a human (or a lot of humans) could destroy the world, but scale and speed is what makes it more dangerous.

Pretty interesting that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has the same screens as the iPhone Duo... AND Samsung manufactures the screens for the iPhone Duo.
