This BC Friday we're honoring a musical visionary, Juan Atkins [RIP] To state the importance of Juan's music is an impossible task as we wouldn't be here without it. The Creator, Originator, Godfather and visionary behind Detroit Techno as Cybotron, Infiniti or Model 500, Juan shaped and molded music from a future he imagined and we're all still catching up. We lost a timeless legend. Heaven got lucky, rest In power Juan! youtu.be/wpyqR3nZ-2A?is=Wjl9… - a little love letter to Juan Atkins under his Model 500 productions and the soundtrack of my life for many years and still is. I was so nervous when sending this mix to Juan given it's reduced down to virtually a skeleton ghost version but his response gave me reassurance it was perfect the way it was. He said it was like living inside a dream so organic and alive, I'll never forget his words and encouragement. Beyond just being the creator of a sound, he was humble with one of the kindest hearts and soul, just an exceptional human who will be sorely missed. Rest in Power... Heaven got lucky this time... This void will be felt everywhere
