A lost little barn owl that collapsed on deck after it was rescued 70 miles offshore has finally been released back into the wild.
The bird, named 'Little Reg', tumbled into the sea three times before landing safely on a yacht where soldiers were taking part in the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s round-Britain race in August.⛵️
They radioed & were were met by a lifeboat crew off the Norfolk coast where the owl was taken ashore where he was initially looked after by folk from the Barn Owl Trust
The process to transfer Reg boat-2-boat took strict co-ordination so as not to slow down the soldiers' race & the RSPCA Scarborough has released him back into the wild.🦉

Dinner this evening will consist of a 4 egg omelette containing oven roasted garlic, red onions, fresh steamed spinach, Cornish Cruncher cheese and mushrooms.
