Yesterday we found out my OH move to dcat was rejected by @DominicRaab and today we have the news he has rejected the jsc recommendations for ipps. We have to wait 15 months now to sit a new parole board, it's devastating the wasted years of our lifes with this inhumane sentence

The use of open prisons, which can play a crucial role in supporting people to lead positive crime free lives, has been sidelined
In December there were over 600 empty places @DannyShawNews
Where is the evidence that this is the right thing to do?

As January ends, the Government response to the JSC inquiry is yet to appear. This is adding uncertainty & injustice to an already unjust & uncertain sentence. We urge the Government to accept the JSC recommendations, which received wide endorsement, & #resentenceIPPs.

Rather than police investigate Rishi Sunak for not wearing a seatbelt I would rather they followed all of our Covid money, all the Russian money, all the cash for honours, all the billions spirited out of the country post-Brexit, all the excess profits made by energy & the rest

@DominicRaab it has been confirmed he has been unlawfully blocking ipp moves to dcat prisons. Ipps are being unlawfully kept in prison and are being unlawfully blocked moves that the @Parole_Board have recommended. @MoJGovUK what is going on
When I hear @DominicRaab speak in regards to ipp prisoners its obvious he has no intention of making right the wrongs of this sentence. He keeps saying how he is making it easier to be released at parole, yet he is putting a stop to progressing to dcat.

This is shocking. Undermines the function and authority of the parole board. Why does Raab think he has a better grasp on the risk presented by these individuals than the people working with them and a panel of experts who have scrutinised the evidence?
This is how many recommendations were made by the parole board to @DominicRaab from April 2022 yet only 28 have been granted a move, 600 spaces available in dcat yet he is denying moves for ipp prisoners that have been recommended by the @Parole_Board

Replying to @jones_martinw
@jones_martinw @MoJGovUK I was wondering if you could explain the role of the parole board now? If 3 approved members are giving recommendations then why are their decisions regarding ipp prisoners sent off for approval by the moj? Are their recommendations not trusted?

@DominicRaab said he has made the parole process easier for ipp prisoners but the reality is its now harder then its ever been and the progression to open conditions is at the worst it has ever been.
