#Israel’s war on journalists is a war on truth itself, says expert @FranceskAlbs. “Genocide is never sustained by killing alone. It requires destroying the conditions in which killing can be seen, documented, remembered and judged.”

UN Human Rights Chief @volker_turk calls for an end to #Israel’s aggressive operation in the #WestBank city of #Hebron, which forcibly displaced nearly 2,000 Palestinians, demolished homes and commercial property, and deprived residents of the ability to move freely.
"Collective punishment is a grave violation of international law. Threats to empty and erase entire neighbourhoods also raise serious concerns of ethnic cleansing," Türk says.

💢 Israeli strikes killed at least eight Palestinians across Gaza on Sunday, including three staff members of the Islamic University in Gaza City, which Israel struck twice. Several female students were also wounded, some seriously.
Those killed include:
🔹 Sami Bawred, Ashraf Dahlan and Shadi Abu Ataya, university employees, in a strike on the campus in western Gaza City. See drop Site’s report below.
🔹 Fawzi Salem al-Sawarka, 54, in a drone strike on a group of people near Hamad Hospital in northwest Gaza City

🔹 Hamdan Salman Abu Amra, 33, in a drone strike east of Deir al-Balah
🔹 An unnamed man in a strike on the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood of eastern Khan Younis
Gaza's Health Ministry also received the body of Ibrahim Amin Hassan Abu Ghraba, 33, two weeks after he was abducted and killed in Israeli custody, it said. Israel has killed 1,551 Palestinians since the October 2025 ceasefire, and 74,544 since October 2023, according to the ministry.
🇵🇸💢 “We came to rebuild our country, the country they destroyed. Why are they attacking us here too?”: Israel strikes Gaza university twice, killing three
Israeli strikes hit the campus of the Islamic University in western Gaza City twice on Sunday, less than four hours apart, killing three university security guards and wounding several others, including students.
“Today, we were studying in class, minding our business, while the professor was explaining. Suddenly, an airstrike hit directly beneath us, a massive explosion,” Mohammed Qandil, an engineering student, told Drop Site’s Abdel Qader Sabbah.
Qandil said he was attending a physics lecture when the strike hit directly beneath the classroom. “We came here to learn and get an education. We came to rebuild our country, the country they destroyed and devastated. Why are they attacking us here too?”
“All we're asking for is our right to education, nothing more. We don't want anything else. We just want our right to education.”

A grim snapshot of Palestinian life in the West Bank - that we witnessed over a week:
- Settlers besieging a family in their own home
- Israeli authorities demolishing Palestinian properties
- Settlers repeatedly attacking farmers, even beating to death more than a dozen lambs
- Israeli soldiers blocking the delivery of water to an isolated community

B’Tselem urgently calls on governments and international institutions to act now, using all means available under international law, to prevent the forcible displacement of Palestinian civilians, collective punishment and extensive unlawful destruction in Hebron. Israeli leaders are openly declaring their intentions, and actions on the ground have already begun.
Following the shooting near Hebron on 23 October, in which two Israeli soldiers were killed, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz openly announced plans to forcibly displace Palestinian residents and carry out extensive destruction in the area.
In a statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared: “We will apply in the cities the successful offensive model we implemented in the refugee camps.”
That same model has already displaced more than 33,000 Palestinians in the northern West Bank. Now, Israeli leaders are threatening to bring the same mass displacement and destruction to Hebron.
Implementation has already begun. Israeli forces imposed a cordon on Hebron and Halhul, while the Civil Administration began demolishing Palestinian structures in the neighborhood of Farsh al-Hawa. At the same time, Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the establishment of four new settlement farming outposts in the South Hebron Hills.
Israeli leaders are openly announcing plans for collective punishment and acts that could constitute war crimes. These plans echo Israel’s devastating operations as part of the genocide in Gaza and mark a further escalation of its ongoing campaign of ethnic cleansing as part of the Elimination Project in the West Bank: the systematic dismantling of Palestinian collective life while expanding settlements and entrenching permanent Israeli control.
The world cannot stand by as Israel continues its assault on Palestinians, waiting for yet more neighborhoods to be emptied and erased before intervening, despite what we have already witnessed in Gaza and the northern West Bank. Governments and international bodies must act now to prevent these crimes and protect Palestinian civilians.
