Amazed by all the wonderful art I've seen in Marfa and grateful for the new people I've met here. Artists, patrons and collectors who came to talk, collect, commission and learn more about my Romantic Cyberpunk doctrine. Thanks for having me. Time to go back to work… News soon!

I don't have an exact definition for Romantic Cyberpunk, but it shares a lot with the Decadent movement. The premise is luxury at the end of the road, only to find where that excess leads. My work sits where luxury and decay, the two meanings of decadence, are hard to tell apart.

AI generated reels being so popular somehow tells me humans stopped caring as much about details. Nowadays everything is flashy enough to hook you, with fast paced cuts that leave no time to spot hallucinations or flaws. Perfect for a cheap dopamine economy but rarely remarkable.

BSOD in Marfa gathered interest, for which I'm very grateful! I'm now finalizing a couple of commissions before 2026 ends and I look forward to start 2027 with a slightly gamified artistic project that will reward, refine and ultimately expand The Network. See you in Marfa.

I don't understand how people start using emojis or nicknames with LLMs, to the point the AI does it back. Then I think about what it's optimized for: agreement. It assimilates our own tone and uses it with us, so we feel understood and keep going back to it. Dystopian nightmare.

I know a collector sees a different kind of value in my art when they question the work, their own understanding, when they wonder what direction we are going, if they sit with the discomfort... And so on. In that case I know I made my whole point and not just a "pretty picture".

How ironic that most of the replies under my art and my reflections come from AI bots. I spend my time warning about an Internet full of meaningless things and they show up to confirm it, commenting with sensical inputs on the surface, but without a true sense of understanding.

Granted that my art exists regardless, I'm at the point where having institutions and museums' attention matters. They decide what gets archived and explained and having them and my collectors share the fear my work points at decides if it'll get fully understood or just admired.

Science can tell us about what prolonged iPad exposure does to kids, but it can't tell us what it does to a 70-year-old who started at 4, simply because that person doesn't exist yet. My work portrays a blind spot where the results arrive after we are gone. Our gen is the study.

In my work, every human can be usefully surveilled, because every human wants something, fears something, owes something. The cat wants nothing from anyone. Surveilling it is just... Watching it. That's the actual reason it slips past the logic the rest of us are trapped inside.

What makes my work unappealing for most is the attention it needs in a world where very few have it. My work will never read as innovative or shiny. I'm building something that walks in the opposite direction because the current one will wipe us out. Keep your 15 minutes of fame.

The longer I do this the more I realize my viewers split in two. The first group sees neon and teals. The second sees themselves, realizing it's not the future but a darker version of last week. The goal is to have the second group outnumber the first to fight the meaning crisis.

I'm well aware my art requires an above average amount of time and effort to be fully digested. We are falling apart and the algo deprioritizes socially conscious content because it's more convenient to keep people dull. Might not be for you if you just want to scroll and relax.

I'm proud to present my latest piece, "Blue Screen of Death", soon to be exhibited in Marfa for the '26 Art Blocks weekend. An immense pleasure to be invited in what I consider to be the most unique event of our space to showcase my art and spread the Romantic Cyberpunk doctrine.

I've made art and written about how we turned rest into something to earn, and yet if I spend a day on something unrelated to work it feels like a debt I'll have to pay back later. I thought awareness was awakening but the system doesn't care that I get it. It runs on me anyway.

I keep writing new thoughts across social media, even after publishing my Romantic Cyberpunk Manifesto. They keep arriving as the tech grows which makes sense, but the odd part was realizing that my art was already unconsciously portraying them and I took a long time to catch up.

Many artistic mediums won't survive the next 50 years. But what survives may get rarer and probably more valuable. Uncomfortable, but scarcity and quality end up looking identical on a price tag and I'll have to make peace with the fact that I'll never know which one bought mine.

Funny how pacing AI down became consensus overnight but saying it 6 months ago would've gotten you called a luddite and AI doomer. I'm used to it because my work warns about tech overtaking humans, but now that even the tech giants agree I understand I might've underestimated it.

The industry gathering this early to warn about itself feels strange. Not sure if I should be glad to see reality catch up to my work or not. When the people ahead write the rules for slowing down, it's those rules that keep them ahead. My body of work lives in that sentence.

Wrapping a few commissions and exhibitions before getting back to collectors I owe a proper catch up to. Also sitting on a side quest idea the recent PFP surge brought to mind. Dropping it whenever I lock the details down... Think degens will love that one. Q4 should be fun.
