It was just weeks before Olha Khmarna’s 106th birthday when a Russian bomb exploded in her neighbourhood in Izyum, a town in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, as she was doing her morning exercises. “The whole house trembled and the ceiling collapsed,” she said thetimes.com/article/38ddeac

I remember when my Twitter feed wasn’t just a flood of fringe “Ukraine must surrender” types. Or is it just me?

The names and faces of those behind the Kremlin's misinformation network 'DoppelgÀnger' have been revealed. These facts must be investigated and those responsible brought to justice, as individuals who create and promote Russian propaganda commit a series of grave crimes against the national security of the targeted nations, peace, human security, and international law and order.
Putin’s “DoppelgĂ€ngers”: The Insider gets inside the operations of the Kremlin's foreign disinformation network Internal documents demonstrate the cynisism of the Kremlin's information warriors — who describe their own work as generating "fakes." theins.press/en/inv/298359

Witkoff isn’t blowing smoke up Putin’s ass. The Trump & Putin governments both think that cruelty is good when it “protects” their own supporters from the outside. Any act can be humanitarian or heroic if it “saves” the nation from alleged depravity.

"The facts were unclear, but it didn't matter. We simply wrote that Ukrainian soldiers killed children." Propaganda war is a key pillar of russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and it is waged globally.

Yeah, might as well send us off to the gas chambers, you’re suggesting? Luxembourg is even smaller, as are Malta and Cyprus. Where’s the threshold? Denmark? Finland?
It is a strange world. Because 5.7 million people live in three small Baltic countries (whose total size is less than a Chinese Tier II city). and whose half of the population lives in Europe, and another third are Russians who cannot get citizenship, and because they have traumas and bad memories of the Soviet rule, the entire world of 8 billion people should go into a nuclear apocalypse and die.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Baltic countries lie entirely in Europe. Non-citizens comprise ~9% of Latvia's population, ~4-5% of Estonia's and near zero in Lithuania—not one third—while ethnic Russians total ~14% overall (most with citizenship). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_st

The UK population can barely get out of bed and put its pants on in the morning, I don’t think they can be “only and aggressively” pushed to war
These days, it's hard to say which European country is most openly and aggressively pushing its population to get ready for war - be afraid, shut up, sacrifice - but the UK and Germany are at the top of the list, and that means we're in self-fulfilling prophecy territory.

“Russian borders don’t end anywhere” is a quote from no-one else but Putin. Which is why giving him Donbas, or Kyiv for that matter, will not be the end of a war but the beginning of a new one — with Russia in a much stronger position and Ukrainians its cannon fodder.
Donald Trump says the Russian sanctions waiver is to help negotiate peace. But one Russian paper today writes: “We will make a deal with Ukraine entirely on our terms.” Another paper: “Russia’s borders, as we know, do not end anywhere.” #ReadingRussia

Russia’s bombing of Mariupol’s theatre in March 2022 killed at least 600 civilians, including children. However, a new Russian film claims Ukrainian forces were responsible, despite investigations pointing to a Russian airstrike. Nick Squires and Antonia Langford look at how an Italian journalist is helping spread the Kremlin’s version of one of the brutal conflict’s worst atrocities👇 telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2
