Sharing an urgent plea from the Chattahoochee Valley Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue in North Georgia (Atlanta area) and Riggie the Berner’s mom- she’s on the board of the Rescue (many of you follow Riggie on Instagram - the plea is for poor Charlie 🥺👇 here is the video she shared - it’s also shared on FB instagram.com/reel/De2UShtJm… I cried making this video. I visited Charlie today at the vet clinic where he is being boarded and treated. He is petrified. He is anxious. He is underweight. He is sick. He doesn’t want to be indoors. Humans have failed this sweet, beautiful Berner boy. Some humans have been very unkind to the sweet Berner boy 💔 he’s being boarded at the vet currently. We need your help. We don’t just need to find any home for Charlie… we need to find the ✨right✨ home. Charlie is a very tough case who will require an experienced foster who can manage and rehabilitate a very anxious dog who needs to complete 3 months of heartworm treatment and has no idea what it means to be an indoor dog. All medical care is being paid for by Chattahoochee Valley Bernese Mountain Dog Club & Rescue. Charlie’s ideal home is a needle in a haystack: ❌ no other dogs ❌ no cats (or can be COMPLETELY separated) ❌ no small kids ✅ fenced yard We have several valid reasons for these requirements, so please do not ask us to make an exception. This is the environment that Charlie needs right now to recover and learn how to be an inside dog and a loved family member. Right now, we are limiting our search to the East Coast of the U.S. due to the challenges involved in transporting an anxious, medically sensitive dog that needs to remain calm during treatment. If you live west of the Mississippi, and meet ALL of our requirements, please fill out an application in case we cannot find a suitable match in our desired geography. If you meet ALL of the criteria above, please apply to foster or foster-to-adopt Charlie at cvbmdc.com/rescue/ If you cannot foster, please consider helping in one of two ways: 1️⃣ Share this video - Charlie’s guardian angel could be 1 share away! 2️⃣ Donate to help us pay for Charlie’s medical care and boarding costs. Visit CVBMDC.com and look for the PayPal link in the upper right corner. Every single dollar helps! 🙏 Thank you for helping us help Charlie. 🖤

Lizzy is an adorable, very affectionate three year old female looking for her forever home. She is very friendly and gets along well with dogs and cats. She would do great in an active home, with someone home most of the day to play with her. She requires a fenced yard (not invisible fence). She is currently located in Maryland. If interested in adopting Lizzy we ask that you complete our application which can be found at bmdcw.org, under the rescue tab. - @GlassRiverJewel do you know anyone for this sweetie ??!! 😊😍

Hey Marietta, Georgia folks ! Sharing the Chattahoochee Bernese Mountain Dog Club Rescue’s post about Nico ! 👇- this 3yo poor boy is losing his family after 2 years of being with them - they are relocating without him 🥹 “Meet Domenico, or Nico, as his family calls him. Nico was adopted from BARC, Inc. when he was just a year old, and for the past couple of years, he has been a much-loved member of his family. Unfortunately, his family is facing a heartbreaking situation. They are moving abroad at the end of the year to be with family, and despite trying to find a way to take Nico with them, they have not been able to make it work. He is a 3-year-old, 99-pound, neutered Bernese who is fully vetted, housebroken, crate-trained, and, according to his family, an absolute love bug. Nico loves his people deeply. He wants to be near them, snuggle with them, go for long walks, and play tug with his favorite rope toy. He is the kind of dog who would happily be someone's constant companion and best buddy. He has grown up with three young children and is gentle and patient with them. However, due to his rambunctious nature, he would do best in a home with children older than 7. Nico needs to be the only pet in the household due to his resource guarding and strong prey drive. He also prefers someone who is home with him much of the time, making a work-from-home family or individual an ideal fit. Nico will need a refresher in basic obedience to help him learn some better manners around personal space, jumping, food, and visitors. In return, you get an incredibly affectionate, energetic, people-loving Berner who simply wants to be with his person. If you are a good fit and would like to open your heart and your home to Nico, please review our guidelines and complete the foster/adopt application at cvbmdc.com/rescue/ 🖤
