Three years since launching NAA and the players we have had the pleasure of working with continue to get it done at an extremely high level. The times are changing in college baseball recruiting, but two things remain: 1. You better be good 2. You better be ready to roll with the punches Fortunate to have worked with a tremendous group of players that check those two boxes, and many more. In 3 years we’ve had 111 college commitments to 4-year schools, with 77 of those being to D1 programs. NAA guys have committed to schools in 21 different states. A big thank you to all of our current and former NAA clients and families that have trusted us to be a part of their journeys!

Straight from the mouth of a mid-major D1 coach a few minutes ago. I told him I needed to write this stuff down and share with everyone. We were talking about a few players that I work with and he was telling me about how ridiculous recruiting is getting. "Everyone's running out of roster spots... so we are all like, 'this guy sucks' [when watching a player] because he's not an absolute dude. And we're all passing on good players because you'll probably be able to find an older or more experienced guy down the road". "We basically have 3 different recruiting classes each year. High school, JC, and portal. And you don't even know how many roster spots you're actually gonna have". "We have so few roster spots that we are grading kids on such high scales. Like a high school guy has to be a starter as a freshman or we can't recruit him. And then if he shows up and actually starts as a freshman for us he'll probably leave and get more money from a bigger school. So you can't win. And then we just end up sitting in a holding pattern." "The value of a single roster spot for us has gone up a ton because the total amount of spots we have has gone down, but the dollar amount per spot has gone up with scholarships increasing. So we are investing more in these guys, and expecting more." This is the sentiment amongst most D1 coaches at this point and honestly a large population of D2 and D3 programs that are incentivized to be patient and wait for an older guy rather than recruiting young. High tier academic schools operate on a different timeline, and there are certainly some other exceptions. But this is the new reality for most programs. Players and families... do not assume that you are the exception and that this doesn't apply to you!

RJ Church - 2027 OF/RHP from St Ignatius HS has a body to dream on and some present tools. Hit .316 as a junior in a very strong WCAL, 100 mph EV and is also up to 90 on the bump. Major physical upside as he continues to fill out his 6'0", 160 lb frame. Lean, athletic frame and just scratching the surface. @ChurchRylind
Had a great time with @CalClubBaseball at The Club Invitational. I threw 1 inning 3ks 0bb 0h and a save. I was 87-89 T90. I also had 7 hits with 3 doubles 5 rbis 1bb 1sb. #uncommitted

Kicking off my fall ball slate with @CharlotteBSB vs @DiamondHeels here in Chapel Hill. Heels look awesome early, loads of quality ABs and hard contact on offense. And transfer Jimmy Voorhies is dealing - 92-94 with command, knockout splitty and a kick change. 5 K thru 3 IP.

Tremendous upside here for the top uncommitted 2027 arm in Oregon. @henry_teague1 has about as strong of a mix of raw “stuff” as you will find. Up to 91 with the 4S at 2500+ RPM and a legit ride/cut profile, well above average extension, generates a ton of swing and miss, with a breaking ball up to 2800+ RPM’s. Reminds me a ton of John Damozonio who I recruited to Saint Mary’s, just got drafted by the Atlanta Braves and started on Fridays for SMC. Beat UCLA in a regional. John could spin it, cut it, & create multiple shapes, but was raw and had limited track record in HS. Similar physical frame too. @henry_teague1 might have more true upside and is just scratching the surface. In the right environment, wouldn’t be shocked to see him up to mid 90’s at some point with multiple outlier shapes.
Excited for whatever is next
