ALT Management says: Faculty need to "continue with their jobs and meet their obligations to our students." The reality is: We're meeting our obligations by working toward a better university! Our working conditions are students' learning conditions: quality education means having instructors who can count on fair pay and security. That's why so many of our students have come out to support us!

ALT Management says: they want to "prevent irreparable harm" to our students. The reality is Not all education happens in the classroom! As one of our students said, "Just because we're not in class taking notes and watching lectures does not mean we are not learning. Not only is this an historical event, but it's a clear indication to the overwhelming runaway capitalism in this country that has decided that paying those that administer in a college is more important than paying those that actually teach the students."

ALT Management says: Campus is open and operating. The reality is: Workers aren't in our classrooms-- we're out picketing and demanding fair wages, with the support of many of our students!

ALT Management says: We will have no choice but to take legal action. The reality is President Holloway has a choice. Strikes are not illegal: withholding our labor is a right! Judges may or may not issue injunctions -- in a recent decision in Michigan under similar circumstances, they refused to. And even if management gets one, it won't be the end of negotiations.
