It’s pretty magical to kick off a complex task with computer use, go change your kids poopy butt, then come back and the task is done.
Firing on all cylinders.
In this overview article we touch on the back half of yield.
when it's time to exit and return back to native BTC, what kind of fees ould you be hit with?
Great podcast. We went in the weeds on this one.
The bleeding edge of yield right now is happening on three vectors.
- Self-custodial yield
- advanced (and complex) DeFi
- and connecting traditional top performing strategies strategies to an on-chain footprint.
This one is the latter. Take a listen.
📺 NEW POD: We sat down with the CEO of @Syntetika & the CIO of @HilbertCapital.
Russell has 38 years of trading risk experience, and Jorge is bringing their regulated institutional strategies on-chain.
We break down:
• How institutions generate 1–1.5%/mo on BTC
• Why they move vault deposits off-chain immediately
• How Basis+ uses arbitrage, options & AI to make money in bull and bear markets
• How anyone with 1 BTC can access sovereign-wealth-grade funds

Creating the to-do list app had value. Learning basic coding patterns and working in a local environment
Creating junk with AI has zero value when the open-source thing has been made 1000x times.
Don't mistake motion for progress.

Pre-AI new coder: I should make a to-do list app.
Post-AI new coder: I should make a speech-to-text app.

A 7-of-7 multisig is more secure than a 3-of-5.
That's Fort Knox security... but you've also introduced the biggest risk of all.
Will you still have access to your funds in a decade?
The @getcofund team ran the math and created a simulator.
You can turn the dials on keys <> threshold and see the probability the quorum will be alive in 10 years.
Go play with the Multisig Mortality Rate Analyzer over at getcofund.com/research/multi…. It's a work of art and science. 🧪

Yield is so obvious it hurts. I like the way @Syntetika is building so far as a new entrant to the game.
I think this is the standard going into to 2027. Maybe even more so after a blue wave. 🌊
A central place for all the best regulated yield strategies. Tokenized & brought on-chain.
That's the goal of @Syntetika x @HilbertCapital
Ok. The distribution is the moat angle is getting overplayed.
Yes, creating product is collapsing. Here's things still difficult and useful. Read: moaty.
- Creating products that take lots of compute to build
- Unique data on you have
- Giving a shit about your customers 1-on-1
- Anything not software aka almost everything
We really are mimetic creatures 🤦♂️
People have been asking how we research products at bitcoinyield.com.
Here's a very high-level look at our process.

The strategy behind @HilbertCapital's Basis+ last year returned 20%.
Target volatility 7-8%. Target returns 1-1.5% monthly.
This is the main strategy powering @Syntetika's hBTC vault. 🎙️ Russell Thompson - CIO @ Hilbert
I'm starting to feel for the doomer side of AI.
On the timeline I see:
- Jason Calcanis gloating he lowered headcount from 120 to 20.
- A 15-year veteran of the game industry struggling to find a job.
- Cyberattacks across europe affecting the most basic resources.
Meanwhile, the average American's job has zero felt benefit from AI.
I dunno, seems like it's gonna be a very rocky decade.
The worst decision you can make online in the age of AI is being anonymous.
You think someone has time to figure out you have good takes but value privacy AND your not a robot.
👍
Muting all immediately going forward.
