I’m writing a book. It’s called Goonworld. It’s not about gooning. Or it is, metaphorically. But mostly it’s about post-COVID culture writ large—the range of, let’s say, unusual online forms/tendencies that have emerged this decade and that have in various ways altered the texture of contemporary reality. Sort of a travelogue. A journey to the heart of slop etc. Out via FSG eventually!
Warriors haven’t had a normal training camp since 2022. Dray assaulted Jordan in 2023. Klay showed up out of shape and in his feelings in 2024. JK and Aaron Turner held the team hostage in 2025. And now the KP stuff in 2026. Opening night loss always feels like three losses.
I do find it funny that my whole waking life as a warriors fan, across cohan & Lacob, that they have not been able to figure out what to do at center for more than like three games in a row
