We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of two Texas Lutheran University football players, A’Jean “AJ” Augustine and Deyreck Dean, who lost their lives in a car accident early Monday morning.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families, friends, teammates, and the entire TLU community during this incredibly difficult time

We are all heartbroken to hear about the loss of former Rockwall Football Captain Deyreck Dean. He had an infectious smile that would light up any room. Deyreck treated people the right way, and played the game like a true Jacket, with effort & grit. We love you Dean. 🙏 #JFND

In life, I struggle, I suffer, I’m tempted, I’m tested, sometimes I feel so weak. But when I am weak, I am strong. Because Christ, He is my hope, He is my strength, He is a firm foundation that never fails. Jesus is worthy of it all. May He be glorified always, not just on the mountain tops, but even in the valleys.
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.”
