Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei held a phone consultation with Russian President Vladimir Putin today to coordinate stances as the threat of US military strikes against the Islamic Republic escalates.
During the exchange, reported by Fars News Agency, Rezaei expressed Tehran's appreciation for Moscow's firm diplomatic support and backing of the "perseverance and resilience of the Iranian people" in the face of western pressure and regional military build-ups.

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 BREAKING:
Iranian negotiators have left Doha talks with Qatari mediators, and a draft proposal for a U.S. deal is now being circulated.
Iran’s basis for any deal: end the U.S. naval blockade, respect Iran’s demands. No agreement moves forward without it.
Tehran is now floating a faster timeline. Under a deal, the Strait of Hormuz could reopen within TWO days rather than the original seven.
The talks come as both sides eye Tuesday’s midterms. Asked about the vote, Iran’s foreign ministry said Tehran doesn’t expect elections to “give birth to a new U.S.”
Trump has said no new strikes before Tuesday and called talks productive. But he has not ruled out further military action.

Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.
Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.
To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.
The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.
And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.
We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.
Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.
They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making.
One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

Russia's 48-hour-long massive Geran drone attack on Ukraine has finally concluded.
Over 1,400 Geran-4/5 jet-drones and Geran-2 drones were used in total, attacking dozens of different towns and cities across 22 out of 23 regions (excluding Kherson Oblast due to the ceasefire). Of these 1,400 drones, around 1,000 Geran-2/Gerberas and 400 Geran-4/5s were used.
The main targets were electrical substations and railway infrastructure, as well as some airbases used by the Ukrainian Air Force. Widespread power outages occurred across large parts of Ukraine, including the cities of Dnipro and Kyiv, and the implementation of rolling blackouts has been intensified.
In the second half of the attack (the last 24 hours), explosions were heard in/near the following locations:
- Lviv City
- Hlyniany, Lviv Oblast
- Kremenets, Ternopil Oblast

The first half (24 hours) of the attack involved a little over 600 Geran-2/4/5 drones, and focused primarily on targeting energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as railway and energy infrastructure across Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Ternopil Oblast. There were also a large number of strikes on Kyiv and its surroundings, and heavy attacks on Sumy City and its surroundings. Southern Ukraine (Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts) were largely spared from attacks.
The second half (24 hours) of the attack involved around 700 Geran-2/4/5 drones, and continued to focus on energy and railway infrastructure in the western regions of Ukraine, although strikes on Ternopil Oblast were swapped for heavier attacks on the neighbouring Rivne Oblast. Kyiv and its surroundings continued to see a lot of activity, although this decreased compared to the first half. Odesa Oblast was struck this time, and there was also more activity seen in Zaporizhzhia Oblast too. Strikes on energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava Oblasts decreased compared to the first half.
In my opinion, this is a prelude to the upcoming combined missile and drone attack involving strategic aviation, which will likely occur sometime this week. It has helped exhaust Ukrainian air defence and aviation capabilities, and put further strain on the power grid, which will be hit even harder once the missiles start flying. I will make a separate post about the preparations for this upcoming missile attack in the near future.
I do find it funny, though, that this massive attack involving over 1,400 long-range drones, hundreds of successful strikes, and almost every region of Ukraine hit was almost entirely ignored in the information space in favour for two Russian refineries being hit by a few Ukrainian drones each.
(Note: The attached map shows only the strikes from the second half of the attack. You can find the map of the first half in the quoted post)
For the last 16 hours, Russia has been carrying out a large-scale attack on Ukraine using hundreds of Geran-2 drones and Geran-4/5 jet-drones.

🇺🇸 Pentagon officials are secretly collecting evidence that could bring down Pete Hegseth.
Several Defense Department officials have reportedly spent nearly two years collecting emails, memos and meeting notes about the defense secretary.
And they're taking no chances with the evidence.
Copies are reportedly hidden in a gun safe in Virginia, a bank vault in Washington, and a third location on the West Coast.
The officials allege Hegseth and his inner circle ignored legal advice, kept information from Congress and threatened the careers of people who challenged them.
Some have even met lawmakers at sandwich shops and dog parks, away from Capitol Hill.
Now they're waiting to see if Democrats win the House next week, potentially opening the door to an impeachment investigation in 2027.
In the words of one officer: "We're ready with the receipts."
For now, the evidence remains hidden, and whether it ever becomes an impeachment case could come down to who controls Congress.

🇩🇪 About 100,000 young people marched in Berlin and some 30 other German cities Saturday against military conscription, spending cuts and the rising cost of living, organizers told the Financial Times, two weeks after similar youth protests swept France.
Germany plans to roll out military screening for men born in 2008 or later in July 2027. Protesters also demanded more education funding like in France.
More than 100 police officers were injured in Frankfurt, where police broke up the march after clashes and looting and arrested 54 people ages 13 to 29. Police also halted the protest in Hamburg.
"If no one is listening to us, I don't understand why protests should not also turn violent," said Sophie S, a 23-year-old student protesting at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate to the FT.

Anderson Cooper's interview with Haley Stevens is a must-watch!
She clearly seems to have a meltdown, and plenty of people are speculating that she is having legitimate mental issues.
However, to me, she comes across as a petty person who consulted her AIPAC rep and genuinely believed endorsing Mike Rogers would be a genius move that would boost her popularity and sink AES (AIPAC kept retweeting her video announcing her support for Rogers).
And now she and her AIPAC rep are shocked to find out that she is the most hated Democrat next to Fetterman and that her blind support for Israel and close association with AIPAC isn't a political winner.

🇺🇸🇷🇸 "Student List" Moves to Shut Down Alta Bank used by Russian Businesses inside Serbia
▪️Citing "corruption" the clamp down will effectively restrict many Russian businesses using it while operating in Serbia;
▪️Before the elections, the US began considering sanctions against individuals involved in Alta Bank and now following them, the bank itself was outright closed;
▪️In the same article about possible US sanctions targeting Alta Bank, ties to Russia and China are also cited as the rationale for targeting the individuals and the Vucic government itself;
▪️This is only the first step for Serbia of the now familiar "bait and switch" method the US has used across Europe recently to install governments into power - promising to address US interference only to accelerate it once in office.
For skeptics ignoring extensive US involvement behind Student List -what do you think the chances are that this is just a coincidence the first thing Student List does is close a Russia-friendly bank (one of the ONLY Russian-friendly banks) in Serbia?

🇵🇱 Polish police union breaks ranks: "No officer wants to become part of political games"
The "Policyjna Solidarność" police union has sent an open letter to Police Commander-in-Chief Gen. Marek Boroń, demanding he publicly explain the police's role at the Constitutional Court.
Key points:
🔸️Officers sent to Warsaw are mostly young recruits fresh out of basic training, with no experience of situations like this.
🔸️Officers from across the country have raised legal doubts about the operation, including possible interference with a constitutional body of the state. The union cites the Criminal Code articles on coups, attacks on constitutional bodies and abuse of power.
🔸️It points to MPs being refused entry and the President of Poland being "forced to squeeze through a police cordon," left without proper protection.
🔸️It says the leaked police readiness order "clearly indicates" the situation may have been planned in advance with police leadership.
And the line that will worry Tusk most:
"Since early morning, we have been receiving inquiries from families of police officers worried about the health and lives of their husbands, wives, sons and daughters, officers who know they have been left alone with accusations of committing crimes while carrying out their superiors' orders."
The union warns that morale has collapsed and that this could lead to protests like those of 2018 and 2021, when thousands of Polish police officers called in sick.
🇵🇱 HERE WE GO. Donald Tusk finally speaks on the Constitutional Court crisis, and yes, it's Russia.
(We said he'll blame Russia on Monday. He didn't even wait that long.)
After a full day of silence, Tusk finally spoke for five minutes. If you took a shot every time he said "rule of law," you'd be on your eighth before he got to the Russian bots.
His main points:
🔸️The court built by PiS "is not a real court," and Nawrocki and PiS blocked every attempt to fix it.
🔸️His judges were "legally elected" and were "attacked," while the police were there to "protect the court from the attackers."
🔸️"In a state governed by the rule of law, a judge, even a petite woman, does not back down before an aggressive thug." That's a dig at Nawrocki.
🔸️"In a state governed by the rule of law, a politician cannot enter a court and give orders or intimidate judges, even if he is the president."
Then he explained the whole crisis with a story: a thief snatches an old lady's handbag, and when he's caught, he screams that he's the victim.
And then, right on schedule:
"It is no accident that they find support around the world among pro-Russian forces. Today in this conflict they are benefiting from the support of an army of Russian bots on the internet. They have even received public compliments from the Kremlin's chief ideologue."
In Tusk's version, the Supreme Court, the President and two of his own diplomats are a Russian influence operation. The riot police are the rule of law.

🇮🇱 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spent the days since Israel's election trying to delegitimize the Palestinian ("Arab") parties whose record 19 seats left his bloc far short of a majority, with his Likud party claiming the vote was "stolen."
On election night, Netanyahu said it is "forbidden, simply forbidden" to form a government that relies on "anti-Zionist Arab parties," which he said "oppose our very existence," "see Hamas as a charity organization and call our fighters war criminals." He claimed his bloc won "a clear, decisive majority among the Zionist and Jewish public."
Likud then posted on Netanyahu's X account that "they stole the elections in Israel," alleging that Qatar secretly funded efforts to boost Palestinian turnout, which nearly doubled.
Netanyahu asked why Joint List lawmaker Ahmad Tibi "visited Qatar four days before the elections," and spent Saturday tweeting Israeli news outlet claims on the alleged meddling. At night, right-wing protesters rallied in Tel Aviv, where a speaker said, "We will not agree to let our vote be stolen."
Likud accused Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the anti-Netanyahu bloc, of "an influence operation to whitewash and legitimize election bribery on behalf of his Arab-party partners," and said no Zionist party may cooperate with Ra'am or the Joint List. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called for the arrest of Palestinian party leaders.
Police said Likud's fraud claims about polling stations in Palestinian towns had "no investigative or intelligence support." The Central Elections Committee said the election was "conducted lawfully" and that any Shin Bet probe into alleged foreign funding "does not affect the final results."
Qatar called the allegations "ridiculous and dangerous," and Ra'am leader Mansour Abbas said his party has "no connection whatsoever" to the affair.
Two of Netanyahu's own aides were investigated in 2025 over alleged Qatari-funded work promoting Qatar's image, a case known in Israel as ‘Qatargate.’

Delcy Rodriguez is nothing but a Viceroy of the United States, installed by Donald Trump, to oversee the selling of her country.
Former Senior State Department Official SLAMS Trump’s kidnapping of Venezuela’s🇻🇪 Maduro. Will Brazil’s🇧🇷 Lula Da Silva be next?
‘I was very uncomfortable with the kidnapping of Maduro. I have a very sensitive spot to the fact that Latin America has felt like it’s had the boot on its neck from the United States for many, many decades and in Central America.
When I travelled throughout Central America during my service, I saw the negative results of that directly. And I think that we, the United States, owe the people of Latin America a lot more. We need to be much more humble in how we engage people of Latin America.
All that said, I think that the way Maduro was engaging was diabolical to his people. But I am not in favour of having the United States go and conduct regime change policies in foreign countries.
I doubt Donald Trump would kidnap Lula. But I say that with a squint because giving refuge to Bolsonaro’s son now makes me concerned and nervous…
And this is where it is paramount for Democrats, even though we won’t have a lot of power, even if we get the Congress back, we can shine a spotlight onto that exact question to prevent it from being executed and have the public recognise it.
I think in Latin America, the United States, we need to tread very carefully in order to continue to maintain our relations with the world.’
