Best thing about a #science career is I get to see cool things down the microscope every day. Today I was looking at larval #zebrafish infected with fluorescent bacteria. The bacteria had made it into this one’s heart!

The biological pattern generation systems which produce stripes and spots have very little difference between them. As a result, sometimes the system shifts over to spots instead of stripes (or vice versa).
