How can machine learning help you to analyze your microscopy images?
Find out at the "Deep Learning for Microscopy Image Analysis" course at the @MBLScience in Woods Hole from Aug 21-Sep 5!
Applications are due 🚨 April 17 🚨
Read on for more! 👇

This year's faculty: Alexander Krull @sagzehn, Anna Kreshuk @ilastik_team, Carsen Stringer @computingnature, Florian Jug @florianjug, Jan Funke @janfunkey, Loïc A. Royer @loicaroyer, Martin Weigert @martweig, Shalin Mehta @mattersOfLight, and Virginie Uhlmann @VirginieUhlmann.
All you have to bring is a good understanding of python 🐍, enthusiasm to learn with fellow participants, sunscreen 🏖️, and... your own 🔬 data to work on!
👉 Our TAs will help you in the second week of the course to apply what you learnt to your data!
During 14 full days, we will have ample time for lectures, exercises, discussions, and project work.
We will introduce you to deep learning and its applications to image denoising/restoration/translation, semantic and instance segmentation, object detection, tracking, and more!

🔥 Today, researchers unveiled the connectome of the male adult fruit fly nerve cord.
🧠 With about 23K neurons, 10 million pre-synaptic sites & 74 million post-synaptic densities, it’s the most in-depth & complete wiring diagram of a fly nerve cord.
