Othello has raised $8M to train specialized AI models that guide sales reps during live sales calls.
Othello predicts the next best thing a sales rep should say during a call and delivers it on screen in under 500 milliseconds.
Today Microsoft, Capital One, Lyft, and 30+ of the world's largest companies leverage Othello during live meetings.
Until now, it has not been possible to intelligently augment sales calls in real-time. To solve this, Othello has developed a series of specialized models that deliver highly accurate, contextually relevant recommendations while maintaining near real-time latency.
Used Othello to answer every question in a @BusinessInsider interview.
They decided to turn a snippet into a full-on feature!
Selling with Othello is like driving with GPS.
Only a matter of time until it becomes ubiquitous, and we forget there was ever a world without it.
Clock starts now...
Our seed round was led by Owl Capital and a16z @speedrun. Thx to Business Insider for the piece.

Every investor in my first co Cicero.ai saw this as our thesis - clear as day.
Sometimes the writing on the walls is so clear, but people still can’t read it.
Character was a really weird company
- Started as a lab that found extreme PMF in a market they hated
- Leadership team bailed because they wanted to focus on AI-research (Windsurf #1)
- New leadership team comes in but struggles to hire great talent. Lots of people are ashamed of working for the company so they leave it as Stealth on LinkedIn, including C-levels
- New CEO does a great job at understanding they are a fandom company but rest of the company still believes their moat are "models"
- Never explore original IP despite having lots of analytics and creators on the platform
- CEO goes on fundraising roadshow, bails to work at Disney instead (Windsurf #2)
- Rest of the leadership is tired, declares bankruptcy to let Disney buy them too for cheap
RIP character, you died because of natural laws you were completely powerless to understand or intuit
In college, I built Cicero.ai. Same premise as Character.AI, except we owned exclusive NIL rights to the characters, including names like Richard Dawkins and Larry King.
We did over $1M in revenue and had 60+ celeb NILs, despite being 100x smaller than Character.AI.
Seeing Disney pay $20M for parts of Character.AI is interesting. Our IP rights alone have millions in lifetime value and would likely fetch much much more than that today.
Character․AI files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US, agrees to sell some assets to Disney for $20M, and plans to keep operating as it completes the sale (Rhea Rose Abraham / Reuters)

Free pro tip -
I'm a fairly social creature - have been my entire life - and the single best indicator of whether I'm going to jive with somebody is whether they have binged and love the show Entourage.
If you are a chiller, I recommend you ask that next time you meet somebody. It will break the ice 10x.
Nothing more lonely than the first post on a company X account....
Donating 5K to Hatzalah if the post gets 500 likes lol
