When Kevin Strickland first went to prison in 1979, gas was 86 cents a gallon, Jimmy Carter was still president, and the first Star Trek movie had just made its debut. For more than four decades, Kevin has remained in prison for a crime he did not commit, as the outside world continues to evolve, decade by decade, without him.
What’s remained unchanged, though, is Kevin’s actual innocence
. . .
Kevin Strickland spent 43 years behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. In 1979, he was convicted in a triple murd*r case in Kansas City, Missouri, based largely on the testimony of a single eyewitness. From the day he was arrested, Strickland insisted he was innocent, but his appeals were repeatedly denied.
Over the decades, serious doubts emerged about the conviction. The eyewitness later said she had identified the wrong man, and no physical evidence ever linked Strickland to the crime. After years of advocacy by attorneys, journalists, and innocence organizations, a judge finally overturned his conviction in 2021, making him one of the longest-serving wrongfully imprisoned people in American history.
Most people assume a person who loses 43 years to a wrongful conviction would receive compensation. But when Strickland was released, Missouri law did not allow him to collect compensation for his exoneration. As news of his case spread, thousands of strangers stepped in to help. Public donations raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, giving him financial support as he began rebuilding a life that had been taken from him for more than four decades.
Kevin entered prison as a teenager and was released in his early 60s, having missed much of modern life. By the time he walked free, everyday technologies such as smartphones, online banking, ride-sharing apps, and social media had become normal parts of society. Friends and supporters helped him navigate a world that had changed dramatically during the four decades he spent behind bars, making his adjustment to freedom almost as challenging as the long fight to prove his innocence.

There’s a lot of misinformation regarding the story of the police being called on the 3 year old soccer player in Florida. The 911 call reveals that the person who called the police is a CARIBBEAN man named Thomas Hayes. You can hear his Caribbean accent in the 911 call

Black Americans in NY need to vote Red in the midterms. The Dems were very disrespectful when they put that immigrant welcome center dead in the middle of a historic Black neighborhood. Vote Red or be Dead could be a real thing, lol

In 1969, Fred Rogers in response to segregation in public pools shared a foot bath on TV with officer Clemmons.
On May 9, 1969, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood aired a scene that looked almost too ordinary to be historic. Fred Rogers was sitting beside a small plastic wading pool on a hot day when François Clemmons, the Black actor who played Officer Clemmons, stopped by. Rogers invited him to take off his shoes and cool his feet in the water beside him. Before Clemmons left, Rogers shared his towel with him.
The timing gave the moment its deeper meaning. By 1969, legal segregation had been dismantled in much of the United States, but racial discrimination in swimming pools and other recreational spaces had not disappeared. Black Americans had been excluded from many pools, beaches and recreation facilities, and efforts to integrate them had sometimes been met with hostility and violence.
Rogers did not give his young audience a lecture about segregation. Instead, he presented something that racism had often treated as unacceptable: a Black man and a white man comfortably sharing the same water as friends. Clemmons later recalled that Rogers was making a very strong statement through the simple act.
The scene was also significant because Officer Clemmons was one of the few recurring Black characters on children's television at the time, and he was portrayed as a respected police officer. That representation carried its own importance during an era of intense tension between Black communities and law enforcement.
What makes the footage so powerful today is its lack of drama. There was no argument, protest sign or confrontation. Just two men sitting together on a hot afternoon. Yet in a country where something as simple as sharing a swimming pool could still carry racial meaning, Rogers used an everyday moment to show children that there was nothing strange about equality,

No! You should be able to point to the raw data base of the manifest receipts. If there were 388,000 Africans shipped to our ports, there should be receipts.
This is the Manifest from the Clotilda. Where are the rest of the manifest and ship names?
I’m not going deny it happened, but we need to audit these records.

🚨 HOLY CRAP! An Indian man has just been ARRESTED on a FEDERAL criminal complaint that he defrauded a bank out of nearly $100 million dollars, FA US Attorney Bill Essayli says
Mahender Makhijani, 44, faces up to 30 YEARS in prison
He came to the US from India and is now FAFOing thanks to the DOJ's MASSIVE focus on fraud 🔥
KEEP THE ARRESTS COMING!
Essayli:
"Makhijani controlled Cantor Group V LLC, a Newport Beach-based company that had a lending agreement requiring it to pledge only first-lien real estate loans to the victim bank.
Makhijani falsified title policies from September 2024 to April 2025 to make it appear Cantor held first-lien positions when other creditors were ahead. Makhijani and a subordinate forged documents in Adobe, altered metadata, and submitted the falsified records to the victim bank, while also providing misleading explanations during calls and in spreadsheets.
If convicted, Makhijani faces a statutory maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison. He is expected to make his initial appearance this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, California. All defendants are presumed innocent until convicted in court.
