Indiranagar is not an office zone. It's a residential area where unscrupulous government officials have been illegally permitting these office to open

Their fault? Unfurling tricolour at Jantar Mantar.
Show some guts, @narendramodi. If you’re so determined to crush dissent, have the courage to officially declare an Emergency instead of hiding behind these cowardly tactics.

@CPBlr Please look into this and ensure that the right to peaceful protest is protected.

What a country we have become!
A big shout-out to all the young lawyers who ensure the release of all detainees every evening!
This fight goes on because we do not fight it alone. Journalists reporting the truth despite unlawful repression, lawyers holding the police to the law, lakhs and lakhs of first-time protesters fighting tooth and nail, giving actual blood to keep democracy alive.

Today, Modi denotified Jantar Mantar as a designated protest site.
Tomorrow, he will denotify democracy itself.
The dictator’s problem was never the protest site. It was the very idea of people protesting.

We demand an urgent safety audit of all transformers in our service areas to prevent another tragedy with immediate corrective action & accountability. No worker or citizen should have to risk their life because of preventable electrical hazards.2/2

Got inspired by @caleb_friesen to make a video on the poor condition of Haralur Main Road
This stretch is right in the middle of Cambridge international school and National public school, and it pains me that this is the infrastructure we are able to offer to the future gen

In March, I landed at Navi Mumbai Airport on a Saturday with no peak-hour rush on transit or traffic. And travelling to my parents house 28 km in suburbs just took me a seamless journey of 1 hour 45 minutes, as cabs refused to take trips via apps and wanted 2x the price.
So I don’t know why international airlines are complaining to shift, all their passenger carrying 23kg checkin bags will have wheels which they can drag between seamless 600-700m transit interchange and crowded suburban trains.
After 30 years of planning, Navi Mumbai Airport opened in 2025 without NO REAL RAPID TRANSIT LINK. The nearest rail station is 3.2 km away with commuter trains every 60 minutes, the other station is 8.3km away, crowds heavily, and both require unreliable shuttle buses to access.
No cabs were ready to take any trips
In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, transport has become a massive struggle by design. Bad planning is now a norm.

I want to humble remind everyone that the first such instance happened in 2023 in Shivaji Nagar when Form 7s were given for 23000 odd people. @ArshadRizwan fought back, around 15000 names were retained
If a person goes to the election commission and submits 200 forms to delete the names of voters, the EC doesn't ask - how did this person, who is not part of the official election machinery, determine that these 200 people should not be on the roll? Would anyone really spend their time going door to door to find such a thing, document it and bring it to the EC? Or is it more likely that this is a fraudulent attempt to disenfranchise a targeted set of people?
In our system, this kind of submission is 'permissible', which is itself foolish. But is it not also criminal to make such submissions, especially without the knowledge of people being deleted? @DKShivakumar's protest yesterday was on target to point this out. But why wait for the EC, which is anyway compromised? Those submitting such forms should be charged by the police too @PriyankKharge

So BLOs will first compare pre-SIR and post-SIR lists, again visit houses of those deleted but eligible and re-enroll them through Form 6 and all this within a month. Most of them are school teachers. Shall we officially shut down the schools

I am so happy that some residences of Shivaji park are getting sensitive about the noise pollution and asking the authorities to cancel the protest of CJP today at Shivaji park . I am hundred percent sure that they will raise the same objection with the same intensity if not more when ever there is any jalsa of any political party of Maharashtra is planned at Shivaji park ,

The widest-reaching impact of @IndianExpress' Election Commission investigation yet.
10 days after our investigation into the rupture inside the Election Commission, the poll watchdog has told all 20 states where SIR is over to run a “special drive” to bring back voters “left out” of the rolls.
State CEOs have been told to identify voters deleted as unmapped or for “logical discrepancy” and that BLOs should go house to house to help bring them back. They will use Form 6 to apply for inclusion of such “left out” voters.
And the question added to Form 6 in July, asking whether your parents were on the last SIR roll, which one Commissioner called “unauthorised/illegal,” now applies only during the “SIR phase.”
What does that mean? In the 20 states where SIR is over, “left out” voters and first-time voters will use the plain statutory Form 6, without the question seeking details of their family’s link to the last SIR.
Reporting with @vallabhozarkarr.
